I think the one where Sabu threw threw the chair into Rey's head has to be my "favorite" and when I mean favorite I mean "damn that looked cool but poor Rey hope he's ok."

Chairshots to the head can work if they protect them.
How many times did people put their hands up anyway? They should just keep doing it like that.
On topic, I always marked for Shane Mcmahon’s Jumping chairshot... and any time Sabu threw it.

The chair shots Brock took from the Hardy Boys in 2002. Those looked sick.

Stevie Richards waffling JBL. Came in to say this. Knowing what we know now about head injuries, I don't like seeing anyone get hit in the head anymore. But dude deserved his receipt at the time.. I only saw that clip maybe once or twice but it was quite possibly one of the nastiest headshots I've ever seen.

Lance Storm on RVD at Barely Legal. Just brutal. Doesn’t get any stiffer than that.

Taker on HBK at Bad Blood.
HBK sold it like death and only Kane's interference saved him.

The ones Austin gave to the McMahon/Helmsley regime when he returned at Backlash 2000. Particularly when he hits Shane who had just been knocked out and he staggers up to his feet, turns around and is immediately KO’d with a chair by Austin. Just total destruction.

There's only one I can still stomach these days. While it's not from the WWE, it does involve current NXT star Ray Rowe.
On the last show of 2007, Sandman became the champ of the local Pittsburgh indie. This drove up attendance, as every lapsed ECW diehard in the tri-state area came out to see/drink with him. These dumbasses also had a nasty habit of ruining the show, as they loudly shit on anyone who wasn't from Philly. By the time Ray Rowe came out, the Sandman crowd was drunk and extremely rowdy - quite a feat, seeing as how the venue didn't serve alcohol. They called him every name under the sun, most of which can't be posted here. Then this happened:
1. He no-sold a chair shot to the lower back. "That's cool, I guess," I heard the person sitting behind me say.
2. He no-sold a chair shot to the upper back. "Shit!" the guy yelled. "How did he not move?"
3. He not only no-sold a chair shot to the top of his head, he didn't move a muscle. "f***! Dude! Who the hell is this guy?! This is unreal! Do you realize what Paul could have done with him? f***!"
Rowe did the impossible that night: He single handedly won over a crowd of belligerent ECW fans. They didn't heckle for the rest of the night.

Since all the WWE ones that are most memorable for me are listed already (#1 being Rock and Shamrock) I’m going with an ECW choice. Dreamer hitting Raven with the chair while Raven was handcuffed to a steel cage. That smack sounds like a gunshot.

For me its the one Austin gives Rock so that Foley can win the title for the first time on RAW. Its not brutal, its not even that hard a hit, but its just iconic in my mind and when i saw the title of the thread that one instantly came to mind.

"Kimona Wannalea danced atop the ECW arena" ... "BATTLE OF THE BAM BAMS, Bam Bam Bigelow vs Terry BAM BAM Gordy"

And the first one posted was the one I thought of. Rocky to Shamrock. There's also a sick one Taker gave to Kanyon on some Smackdown. I'm a big proponent of Attitude Era, sleaziness and all, but these chairshots are the only thing I look back on not-so-fondly.

Saw it as “He can dish it out, but can’t take it”. Current me, very relieved he put his hands up almost every time.

At the time, this: It put Shamrock over as a fearless, crazy badass, and put Rock over as a vicious bastard. Now, understanding what we now know, none. This one FTW. And I don't feel bad about it.

Not sure if it was a headshot but Mick Foley giving one to Chainsaw Charlie when he was tied up in the ropes. I remember JR saying "What a sickening thud!" lol always stuck in my head.
but come on.. any chairshots with Mike Awesome and Tanaka. Those were the most brutal bar none.

Taker on Maven at Rumble 02. Sounded like a gunshot. I wouldn't use favorite because it's horrifying and I cringe every time, but this is always the first one I think of.
