I remember once in $5 Wrestling, someone just wacked someone with a fabric-padded chair, sold it like death and you actually felt that suspension of disbelief followed by an almost immediate "hang on, wasn't that a cushioned folding chair?"

It's like feeling your soul jump out then right-back-into your body.

I always loved Edge and Christian's "Con-Chair-to", if there was ever a move I wish we could still see today and safe, it was that one, very unique, it made them look extremely vicious, and the sound and implication was always chilling.

I had to sit on one of those metal chairs for a long-ass staff meeting, and I had the thought that you'd have to be insane to let someone hit you in the head with it. I actually used to think they were gimmicked, but I think they were the real steel chairs.

They're really metal, but they're definitely not steel. You'd not be just swinging them around. People would be dead.

Triple H vs Taker at WM27. Completely shocking considering the ban and Taker gets that hand up like a pro, protecting himself but not making the chair look like dogshit.

Not a favourite, but I just watched the Raw where Mr Perfect convinces Marc Mero to defend the IC Title against Triple H and then screws him over, giving Hunter the win. Brilliant angle by the way. But Perfect gives Mero an unprotected shot to the head with the wrong side of the chair. Mero gets a forehead full of steel edging!

That's one of my favorite Cornette stories.

We told Klondike Bill "Now, remember to gimmick the chair."

Dusty comes in and hits Bubba, and the chair exploded. And it was great, he didn't even budge; didn't knock his hat or glasses off!
Bubba calmly removed the chair from around his neck. Took hit hat off. Took his glasses off. Here comes Magnum with a baseball bat!
That's how you book a monster.

We get backstage and see Bill, "Bill! That was great what you did with that chair!"

Bill says, "Oh shit, I forgot!"
