So, looking at that list, are they not uploaded the whole mcu for the launch?

They've got Boy Meets World. I'm sold.

So, looking at that list, are they not uploaded the whole mcu for the launch? Disney might be waiting on deals with Netflix and the like to expire before they put all the MCU films up, plus they'll want to encourage people to buy the Infinity Saga box set. It'll be interesting to see if Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Far From Home make it onto Disney Plus since technically they're not Disney properties (Hulk was distributed by Universal while the Spider-Man movies are obviously Sony).

Hulk should be fine. Universal only has first refusal distribution rights, meaning Disney are only required to ask Universal if they want to handle distribution for any rerelease of Incredible Hulk or the release of any future Hulk movie. If Universal decline or propose an alternative, then Disney can distribute themselves. All home media releases except for the first run of Incredible Hulk have been distributed by Disney and Universal collected a share of the profits, so I imagine it will be a similar case for Disney+. Spidey, on the other hand, looks like it'll be straight up licensing deal. Sony own production and distribution rights, so Disney are gonna have to pay up if they want the complete MCU on their platform.

They are. Netflix deals are still running out, so the MCU will be updated as those agreements lapse. I have no idea about TIH or the Spider-Man movies, guess we wait and see. But here’s a question for everyone - what do you watch first?

First watch is a tough call. Might be the Spider-Man animated series.

My mom said I was nuts for getting the 3-year deal. Now looking just at the stuff available at launch that's money well spent. This will get used every single day at my house between me and the kids. But what if Disney goes under and loses the licensing? You'll have flushed your hard-earned money down the toilet! ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

I'm probably going to wait until next year to get this, by then all the initial bugs will likely be out of the system. I wonder if the X-Men film series will ever be uploaded (well, save Deadpool and Logan for obvious reasons).

Little Mermaid series is interesting. There's a song in one of the episodes called "In Harmony" that's just as good as the songs in the movie.

First thing to watch? Not counting The Simpsons because DUH! Probably Darkwing Duck or something off-kilter like the Mighty Ducks cartoon.

For me, I have to christen with Steamboat Willie and Snow White. Wouldn’t be here if not for a man and a mouse, folks.
After that... I gotta admit, maybe Jessie for something different. I remember being stuck in an ER with a stomach problem a year ago and Disney was on with an episode of Jessie and I actually kind of enjoyed it. Aside from that? Clone Wars, DuckTales, Gummi Bears and Darkwing Duck are musts. Other than that, Im open to suggestions. Truth is, looking at trailers and photos, I’m convinced Disney was just cloning their stars and plots because they all look the same between High School Musical and now!

First watch for me will probably be either 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea or Flight of the Navigator

Very curious to know why the only series from the classic Disney Afternoon that's missing from the Disney + launch is Aladdin....

Very curious to know why the only series from the classic Disney Afternoon that's missing from the Disney + launch is Aladdin.... Yeah, odd we get Hercules the series, but not Aladdin or Tarzan. While we are on the subject... - No Happiest Millionaire. Odd, that was Walt’s last movie. - No Splash, no Beaches, no Dick Tracy. Beaches is a bit iffy, but very surprised none of those are at launch Touchstone movies. - No House of Mouse. That’s very odd, given how much late 90s early 2000s stuff is on there. - No Famous Jett Jackson, no Jersey. Again, common early 2000s stuff on Disney Channel, very surprised neither made launch day. And of course, my usual kevetchs about the stuff missing from early Disney TV. I know, we will get there, just anxious as that’s so important. Imagine WWE Network without Prime Time Wrestling. That’s kind of the same.

Very curious to know why the only series from the classic Disney Afternoon that's missing from the Disney + launch is Aladdin.... Yeah, odd we get Hercules the series, but not Aladdin or Tarzan. I thought I saw Tarzan in there, but I guess not. Maybe one of the sequels (there were 2 IIRC). I don't think a lot of the direct-to-video sequels were included either. I recall a few (Aladdin, odd enough) but the wonky stuff like Cinderella 3 / Why Did This Get a Sequel 15 / etc isn't. Even the Tinkerbell movies (though I'm guessing, like Solo, Last Jedi and a bunch of the MCU stuff, yet-to-expire Netflix deals have tied those up). Have to admit - seeing a ton of older/obscure 70's/80's stuff on the release list with 2000's stuff left off (for whatever reasons) was comforting. No Follow Me Boys either. Rocketeer was Touchstone, almost wondering if it's the only Touchstone that got in. No classic TV at all, the only stuff included were properties that themselves had some sort of movie/"movie" (bunched up episodes) at some point. Davy Crockett and Zorro fit that in some fashion. I think I saw a mention of "with more to be announced!" at some point yesterday, so I'd like to think the non-movie material will get a separate announcement as we get closer? (House of Mouse was a big mix of newer animation and classic shorts, guess that's lumped into the TV/shorts stuff that was left out yesterday)

- No House of Mouse. That’s very odd, given how much late 90s early 2000s stuff is on there. Eh, kind of make sense in a way. House of Mouse was basically a way of using the Mickey Mouseworks shorts in a new way so it was either put those on there or put House of Mouse and probably makes sense for the former. It's sort of weird watching those now with the new Mickey shorts basically being the billion times better version of those (and I liked those but man...no contest at this point).
