I went for The Muppets (2011), such a fun revival. It's a shame nothing Muppet based that came after hit that level. I will say, the opening of Muppets: Most Wanted is fantastic. And that’s it. I...I liked the movie.

You know, I'm really wondering how on earth Walt ever thought Fantastia was going to revolutionize music. I think it's good so far personally but there was zero chance this was ever going to be a hit.

I just...especially after The Muppets, Most Wanted felt like...I don’t know, a parody of Muppets tropes rather than a genuine sequel to that movie. It’s weird but it didn’t feel like the same care and attention there was in The Muppets.

Went to watch D3: The Mighty Ducks, and this happened:
"Due to current contracts, this film will soon be available in Fall 2021. Add to your watch list now!"

Can't wait for more episodes of The Mandalorian.
Did anyone do a recreation of Disney Afternoon?

So back to my Android problem, it seems a bunch of people regardless of what device they have or version of Android are having the problem that it's saying that Disney+ isn't compatible with their device. Apparently it's also at random but if I'm correct, they're trying to fix it.

The search engine seems to suck. If you search for say "Donald Duck", very few selections appear. However if you just search for "Donald" then you get a few more. I also notice that if you click on one of the classic shorts, other classic shorts will be available options at the bottom of the page that didn't show up when you do the search. Even then it appears a fairly small selection of the classic shorts are uploaded unless I'm still somehow missing them.

Just read up a bit on the Lady and the Tramp remake, saw some reviews, and it really feels like they missed a major opportunity with the whole thing.
Like... Why make it an interracial couple in a time and place where that absolutely would not have flown and then just have it be irrelevant to the proceedings? I get that they were just looking to make this a harmless family movie but you could probably get some great stuff out of going into that a bit and really comparing their situation to the one the dogs are in, really sort of mine a deeper allegory out of the whole thing. Really feels like a waste to just have it there and do nothing with it.

I think it's good so far personally but there was zero chance this was ever going to be a hit. The movie has actually always been critically acclaimed. It was more unable to make a profit due to being unable to be shown overseas due to World War 2. Movies were still relatively new back then too. It was an experiment that Walt wanted to try. Just came along at a difficult time in history.

Oh yeah, I know it's acclaimed and it did certainly eventually make money, but he was kind of seeing it as this hot new thing they'd be doing all the time and... Really I just can't see a scenario in which that was ever going to happen because I can't imagine a gigantic amount of people would have the patience for it.

In case anyone was curious, I settled on The Black Cauldron as the first thing I watched on Disney+.
Not familiar with the books at all, but it’s a very enjoyable movie in its own right.

Started watching Iron-Man. I'm going to go through each Marvel movie from the order of release and damn, I forgot how much I loved this movie. I'm picking up so much from each scene.

Taking a break from it after all day long having just watched Disney stuff, specifically going through Emperor's New Groove (only one I watched today I've seen before), Big Hero 6, Fantasia, and finally Tangled.
I can very easily see myself getting a whole lot more use out of this given I haven't even cracked into the TV, Marvel, or Star Wars stuff yet and there are still plenty more Disney movies I want to watch.

First Disney+ edit noticed: Took the word “midget” out of the first episode of “Recess”.

For anyone wanting to watch the new Ducktales on Disney+. Probably a good thing they put this out because I've never watched the show and was thinking about using this as an opportunity to do so.
