Watched The Black Cauldron earlier this week after not having seen it in over 20 years. I'm of both minds on it. I can both see why it failed and how it's garnered such a cult following.
Several of the characters feel like pale imitations of more famous Disney characters and the story inevitably falls apart due to them trying to shove an entire series of books into one movie, but the animation is fantastic and you're just watching a bunch of cool shit happen constantly. The Horned King, in particular, is a revelation.

My mom recently switched to Verizon, so of course the first thing I did was ask her to set up that free year of Disney Plus.
I’m enjoying it so far, but I’m a little miffed that the original Adventures in Babysitting won’t be available until 2021. Oh but wait, the vastly inferior remake is on there.
Yeah, it’s one movie and there’s a ton of other stuff on there but dammit, it was one I was really looking forward to watching. I’d love to know what these “existing agreements” are that are keeping the film off of Disney’s streaming service; my first thought was Netflix but nope, it’s not on there either.

It pops up on Netflix every few months.

Watched Dinosaur for the first time. Ugh, now I know why I avoided this one in my younger days. This would've put me to sleep.
There's a cool movie in here somewhere, both from a technical and storytelling perspective, which is why it's disappointing to see it use a bunch of recycled Disney tropes. There aren't any memorable characters and while its visual style does lead to some cool moments, the color palette is mostly beige. I feel like I'm staring at the same oasis for an hour.
Kinda wild that this was the fifth highest-grossing movie of 2000 yet nobody ever talks about it now.

Also wanted to add for most of your post I thought you were talking about the TV show “Dinosaurs” and was equally confused & bummed out.

To be fair, Dinosaur the movie should’ve also had all the characters die at the end.

It's a minor thing and all, but I really wish there were a lot more avatars and that they were easier to navigate.
I think it's most distracting to me that they don't have any Mickey besides that faux-retro one and how blatantly with Marvel and Star Wars they're avoiding actually using anyone's likeness, though there are also a lot of distracting omissions besides that.

Wouldn't that be under the Disney umbrella now, somehow?

We may have watched Olaf's Frozen Adventure too many times with my nearly 3 year old son.
He just said the name of his toy duck is Sir Jorgenbjorgen and that he is a very good listener.

Regarding Adventures in Babysitting, my memory is a little vague. Was it ever established that Elizabeth Shue's character actually was the one who posed for the centerfold of the Playboy magazine featured or not? My memory is foggy on that one.

In its case it seems to be DirecTV.

The live action X-Men & Wolverine movies with exception of “Logan” (too violent) and “Dark Phoenix”(too shit... ok too recent) have been added. This is in Australia.. so don’t yell at me if they are not at your end. And no Deadpool of course (well except in Wolverine Origins) .

They've added The Simpsons Collection to the search menu, which is all pretty much a bunch of playlists including every Christmas episode, every Treehouse of Horror, every episode featuring Sideshow Bob, etc.

"Hey, where's Make Mine Music?" says nobody. I actually find its absence very distracting because along with Tarzan, which is at least listed, and Frozen 2, which is still in theaters and all, it's the only movie in the canon that isn't there.

In Australia “Spider-Man: Homecoming” was added to Netflix yesterday.
So I’m guessing it’s Sony that get to decide which streaming services it and it’s sequel get. I doubt we will see them on Disney+ anytime soon.
Which is also surprising cause the recent Sony Marvel films (Venom and Spider-Man: Into The Multiverse) have been going to Amazon Prime Video.
