I do love the fact that LEGO is such a giant brand at this point that it can go up to Disney and go “Hey, can we make a film that completely spoofs your entire franchise?” and Disney just looks at how much LEGO makes as a brand and goes “Sure!” From what I heard, the LEGO Star Wars shows on Disney+ are really good and apparently really damn funny.

Been meaning to watch those but I also know from their DC movies that they’re better than they have any right to be.

If the holiday special unravels the timeline and retcons the whole sodding sequel trilogy I will be most pleased I don't see how a non-canon Lego movie would do something like that.

I've seen bits and they're pretty fun

I’m assuming they share the same style of humor as the LEGO ______ games?

I don't see how a non-canon Lego movie would do something like that. Maybe we watched a different Harley Quinn but I’m pretty sure that scene parodied people like that.

How does Disney+ have 70M+ subscribers despite Netflix, HBO Max and Hulu having objectively better content?

They do have some exclusive other then the Star Wars and National Geographic stuff..
It’s just that they are aimed at a younger audience, or people outside our demographics... which must be expected.

Also, Hamilton. If you check any of the viewing figures for streaming services, moving Hamilton from 2021 in theatres to this year on Disney+ was the best decision humanly possible.

How does Disney+ have 70M+ subscribers despite Netflix, HBO Max and Hulu having objectively better content? Dude, it's Disney. Literally everybody I know with kids has got it. Netflix and Hulu are a crap shoot in terms of kids content and how long it stays on those platforms, and I'm guessing HBO Max isn't exsctly overflowing with kids content (HBO isn't exactly a kid-friendly brand), but with Disney you know you're getting years' worth of kid-friendly content that isn't going anywhere.

If I didn't have kids, I probably would have still gotten it for the library only. I grew up on Disney. Of course, then they added The Simpsons and I immediately jumped.

The bundle with Hulu & ESPN certainly helps. 3 streaming services for about the price you pay for Netflix alone (indeed, cheaper than Netflix for anything beyond the bare-basic 1-screen, SD option) sounds like quite a bargain on paper.

Of course they had to recast Minnie Mouse after the passing of Russi Taylor. I’m aware of Kaitlyn Robrock’s work (Amphibia, English dub of Aggretsuko) so hoping she fits in nicely.
I know with how long these characters have been around they will have to replace the voice actors eventually, but it must be daunting for a voice actor to be given such an iconic character/voice to portray.

From the first short she’s in, even though she wasn’t in much of it, I barely noticed any major difference which is sort of impressive considering, like you said, she’d be filling some big shoes.
