And they already have two episodes recorded, don't they? Well, I'll say it, RELEASE THE MINSKY CUT!!! Seriously, how mature could a Lizzie McGuire show possibly be that Disney would deem it "not family friendly enough"? I guess they'll be shown eventually as part of some Anthology series

Lizzie found herself an unemployed single mother thanks to Covid and discovered OnlyFans.

Consider me extremely skeptical. Firefly revival reboots and revivals have been talked about for over a decade, and I'd like to see such news come from a site that hasn't run with stuff like "Disney are writing Din Djarin and baby Yoda out of The Mandalorian because Pedro Pascal wants to show his face every week."

Also considering how packed the investor call is and how much most of the projects are still in pre-production...there’s no scenario where they’d leave something like that out.

The only possible reason to not include it would be so it wouldn't get lost in the deluge of Marvel and Star Wars announcements... which isn't so far-fetched, because they officially confirmed Indiana Jones 5 and that's gotten almost no attention whatsoever, and that's a much, much bigger franchise than Firefly. Don't get me wrong, I'd love Disney to do something with Firefly. It's an IP that has a ton of possibilities, but all things being considered I think it's something that Disney would announce early to build up hype given that the franchise has a history of not drawing audiences. I think any possible continuation or reboot will need a lot of work to appeal to more than just those who've been baying for new content since 2005.

And before we get to your second paragraph, it’d be easier to counter that with “They’re making a Hocus Pocus 2 for Disney+“ which is pretty much the dictionary definition of a cult hit.

It's fascinating to see how different Disney's approach is to the Marvel and Star Wars franchises.
In the case of the former, Marvel looks like it's set up for 5-10 years of future stories as actors age out of roles and younger performers come into play as Young Avengers.
In the case of the latter, Star Wars is looking 5, 10, and 15 years back into the past to tell stories about characters like Cassian Andor and Ahsoka Tano, and even decades further back for stories about characters like Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Family-friendly? Wasn't one of the characters a prostitute?

Family-friendly? Wasn't one of the characters a prostitute? It does theorise that Inara could be dropped; at the very least Disney could change her profession if they want to keep the character around..

Muppets Firefly? I’m down. Or I would have been with the Muppets of like 30 years ago.

And if anyone’s wondering. It’s not behind an extra fee. You can watch it freely.

People with UK (and Ireland) Disney+ accounts!
Disney Star is coming to our service February 23rd and seems to be where stuff like Family Guy, Lost, How I Met Your Mother etc will end up from what the promo said.
