I appreciate that we don't have to pay extra for the Star content.

It looks like they have FINALLY fixed things for the PS4 version of the app. Things load up more snappy and don't act like complete ass anymore, although they seemed to have removed the option to turn the controller off while watching programs.

Looks like there are missing episodes and cut content being discovered so far for the Muppet Show. Most notably the Don Knotts episode is missing at least five minutes.
The John Denver (in some markets), Spike Milligan (similar case), Brooke Shields and Chris Langham episodes aren't up either. Though Langham makes sense given he was convicted for buying child porn.
The Kaye Ballard episode isn't available in the states

Haven’t looked into any cuts or omissions yet, but I can’t tell you how happy I am to finally have HQ Muppet Show streaming. I’ve been using my shitty Hallmark Channel rips from the late 90’s for years

Missing songs. "UK Spot" means stuff that was in the UK version:
Bernadette Peters: “They Call the Wind Maria” and “I’m Five” missing Don Knots: “Lullaby of Birdland” missing and all scenes referencing it Cheryl Ladd: UK Spot “There’s A New Sound” missing Danny Kaye: UK Spot “Jogging” missing Roger Miller: UK Spot “Down at the Old Bull and Bush” missing Anne Murray: “Dancing on the Ceiling” missing James Coburn: UK Spot “Bird Walk” missing Tony Randall: “Ti-Pi-Tin” missing Hal Linden: “If I Ruled the World” missing Wally Boag: “The Ying Tong Song” missing Buddy Rich: UK Spot “A Transport of Delight” missing Marty Feldman: “Sesame Street Theme” missing
The Brooke Shields episode is likely cut due to "We're Off to See the Wizard" being used.

Milligan I think is gone because of the choice of, ahem, makeup in one skit.

I am tempted to do a spinoff thread of Muppet Show Edits.

Yep, the rights to Wizard of Oz alluding Disney is why we have Maleficent. And the Feldman edit reminds me that Muppets Holding Company and Sesame Workshop are indeed two different things. Also means we're not getting Muppet Family Christmas, doesn't it?

Could have been much worse than it was. That being said, Disney really has no business calling this the full series.

Yep, the rights to Wizard of Oz alluding Disney is why we have Maleficent. Disney's has a long love/hate relationship with The Wizard of Oz. Walt wanted to make Oz as his second animated movie, but MGM beat him to the punch on the rights. Which lead to Pinocchio getting made. Walt would eventually get the rights to all the Oz books in the 50's. Planned to make an Oz movie with the Mouseketeers that never went anywhere. Which lead to Babes in Toyland getting made. In the 80's, the rights were set to expire, and they ended up making Return to Oz. Disney lost out on the rights to Wicked. But, by now, the Oz books had fallen into public domain. So Disney ended up making up their own with Oz the Great and Powerful and again with Maleficent. Let's not forget Disney paid MGM for decades to use their version of The Wizard of Oz for The Great Movie Ride. Eventually cutting ties with MGM completely and replacing The Great Movie Ride with a Mickey Mouse ride. So Disney and MGM wouldn't be on the best of terms.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I think this came up in the recent "MGM for sale" thread, but MGM no longer has the rights to '39 Oz, Time Warner does. Wouldn't they have been the one Disney would be dealing with for the last 30 something years when it comes to the movie?

I see most episodes, even ones mentioned before. Superman and Wonder Woman references intact in Reeve and Carter episodes.
Wasn't there a Big Bird episode? Not listed.
EDIT: Carter episode has a George Harrison song AND With a Little Help From My Friends, in the Sgt. Pepper style. Hmmmmm...
So how do the first three seasons match up to the DVD versions?

Kermit WAS kind of a dick sometimes... First season Kermit is a total ass to the other Muppets. Definitely lightens up as the show goes on

Okay, so reading up, Big Bird was not the sole guest star. That was Leslie Uggams.
Haven't got to that episode yet, nor the one with Ernie and Bert from S1.
And I swear our D+ includes the Brooke Shields episode. At least I think I saw the listing.
