They still got the Gameboy, Game Boy Color, GameCube, Game Boy advance, Wii and virtual Boy left I can see a GameCube Classic happening, but I'd be very surprised if the handhelds ever got a release.

Really would be pointless, unless maybe you did a GBA one that bundled GB and GBC games with it and tried to sell it more on game count than game quality. Just would be heavily inflated in price from having to have its own screen and power source, and you basically one way or the other are screwed on the Pokemon front because you either leave it out and irritate people or you put it in in a heavily stripped down form due to not having multiplayer (unless you go through the effort to put THAT in but that's its own cost sink). And it seems like a stripped down version is something someone involved is not okay with because there's really no reason in that case to not put the Gen 3 and Gen 4 games up on the Wii U.

You be surprised on how many people buy those portable atari/genesis clone systems, there a market for a gameboy classic. Because the Wii U is a dead system and why the heck would Nintendo ported the Gen3/Gen4 pokemon to the Wii u in 2018? They rereleases the Gen 1 and 2 pokemon game on the 3DS without battle or trade with no problem, can't see why they won't put them on a gameboy classic then.

Well, yeah, that's why they didn't put them on the Wii U this year. It doesn't explain why they didn't do it three years ago. It'd have been very quick, easy money with really no downside. As for the 3DS thing - they actually DID add wireless connectivity to those. Which they certainly could do with a Game Boy Classic but it'd drive the thing's price up putting in the hardware to support that basically entirely for the one game.

<Looks at thread title> Is this a thread from 1996? I wish. Where’s the Sega Saturn?

Especially considering this system likely won't have most of the Rare games (DK64, possibly Blast Corps and if they're lucky, Diddy Kong Racing) Blast Corps is 100% Rare Owned. The only Rare N64 games that Nintendo has the rights to are DK64, Diddy Kong Racing, Goldeneye 007 and maybe Mickey's Speedway USA. I'm kind of hoping we do get Diddy Kong Racing, since I always feel like that was a better racing game then Mario Kart 64. They'd have to pay MGM a huge fortune for the James Bond license.

when's Virtual Boy Classic coming out? Virtual Boy Classic, save for 2 games, would have the entire library of the system on it if they wanted!

I think Nintendo is content to pretend the Virtual Boy never existed.

I really hope this thing ends up having Harvest Moon 64 on it. Probably not but it's the game that got me into the series (miiight be my favorite - it, BTN, and FoMT kind of fight over the position) and still one of my most beloved games for the console.
Granted I've got the cartridge and have it on the Wii U anyway, but still.

Would be a good choice for a few reasons, not the least reason being that Stardew Valley is very popular, so people would be receptive to something that obviously was its grandaddy.
