My first R rated film was the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I was 3. What the hell? Doctors have advised against having kids watch TV until they are at least 2-3 years old. How do you go from maybe your first month or two of watching videos to watching a horror film? I kinda doubt doctors were advising that when I was born in 74. There was no videos back. Short version of why I saw the original TCM at such a young age. It was summer. My older cousin was staying with us for the summer. Mom was at a Tupperware party. Dad and cousin were going at 9pm to see TCM at the local drive in. Dad figures since my bedtime is 7pm,that I will sleep thru the movie. Been told I woke up when we got to the drive in and stayed awake the entire movie. "You were standing up holding onto the dash the entire thing." IIRC the next R rated film I saw was Friday the 13th. I was 7 or 8.

I don't remember the first 'R' movie but I remember the first movie I saw boobs in.
"Massacre at Central High". It was on a TV movie channel.

Very first R rated film I ever watched was Coming To America. We were living in Germany at the time my sister along with our parents took us to theatre to see it. It was my first film in general that I ever saw in a movie theatre. Pretty sure TCM is the first film I saw. If not it might be one of the annual tv airings of Wizard of Oz.

First R movie in the theater was Officer and a Gentleman in 1982. I was 7. My sister always took me along to movies with her friends.

Police Academy. Whenever it got to an inappropriate scene my dad would yell "R!" and I had to close my eyes and cover my ears until he said "OK!" Lol Cause of my being old and growing up in a rural area we didn't have cable until I was 16. For home viewing my first R was either Porkys or Terminator. I know we're rented both the same weekend. And I was 11 or 12.

At a friend's house on cable, "Quest For Fire". Ugh, I was 7 and mainly leafed though his music textbook.
Actively seen on cable was Friday the 13th Part 2. We were warned by another friend's mom about boob shots, but they didn't say a word when somebody got killed.

I can't remember the first R rated film I saw, but I do remember being seven years old when I watched The Rocky Horror Picture Show followed directly by Hellraiser.
I certainly tasted absolute pleasures that night.

Most of my friends parents would let them watch most stuff..as long as there wasn't nudity. My parents would ,back then, rather me see some nudity instead of graphic violence. So while friends would have to watch say Porkys in secret. My parents would let me watch that but I wasn't allowed to watch stuff like Nightmare in a Damaged Brain or Faces of Death. But once I hit 11 or 12 I was allowed to watch whatever I wanted. Which is why most Saturdays all my friends came to my house. Cause I would be able to rent stuff like Evil Dead,Hills Have Eyes and other so called extreme horror. With both my boys I was similar to my parents.I would rather them, before they were teens, see a book and/or butt instead of say the graphic violence of Cabin Fever or Frontiers.

One Christmas, Braindead aka Dead Alive was on tv and I stayed up to watch it. As far as I know, that was my first. Talk about diving into the deep end.

Yeah my parents were much more concerned about violence than nudity, but they still didn't let much of either slide. First time I remember watching an R movie was spending the night at a friend's house for his birthday and watching Predator. Bunch of friends and his dad sitting there, it felt like a whole different world to me haha good times

I THINK it was Air Force One when my parents were watching it one day lol. I was probably 8 or 9.
The first one I paid money to see in theaters was V for Vendetta.

It was definitely on HBO, just not sure what or when. Dad let me watch anything really. as far as theaters go though, MAYBE it was Basic Instinct, as I was 17 that year.

It may be the second Re-Animator film. At least, I assume that's probably rated R.
