I, personally, just think it's the wrong business model for a league like the XFL to put these teams in cities that already have an NFL team. People don't turn out in droves to watch the Commanders, who's going to go to a "DC Defenders" game? It would make infinitely more sense to me to put these teams in the largest markets that don't have an NFL franchise. San Antonio is a good start, but why not Oklahoma City, Portland, Albuquerque, Louisville, Omaha, etc...? Yeah it sucks that (Chicago, Peoria, Springfield, Champaign) IL or (Ft. Wayne, Indianapolis, Evansville, Terre Haute) IN does not have a team especially with Texas getting 3 teams with Houston, Arlington, and San An. You can't force me to root for a St. Louis team especially one named the Battlehawks I get what you are saying and perhaps the USFL might consider expanding into that region, but I understand why the XFL isn’t doing so. Why not have an XFL team in that region? Quite frankly, the only field fit to be playing football in February is Lucas Oil Stadium in Indy, which would require Jim Irsay to let you use his Colts facilities. All these fancy college stadiums are designed for use during the college season and are terrible places to play football in February. Just ask the Vikings how much it sucked to play at the University of Minnesota’s football stadium when the Metrodome collapsed. The team literally had to finance massive upgrades to improve the field to be useable during December and early January. That’s probably the reason why the only team even remotely close to that region is in St Louis, a city that has a domed stadium that isn’t currently occupied by a NFL team. That’s why South Bend, West Lafayette, Indianapolis, or Bloomington aren’t considered as options, I bet. Evansville and Ft Wayne both have the issue of there being no stadium that can host more than 11,000 in either of those towns (though the Reitz Bowl would probably be decent for TV visuals as long as you keep your cameras on the north side of the field). That’s a shame, since I would be infinitely more likely to go to an XFL game if I could just go across town to watch a game at Memorial Stadium.

Absolutley agree...Yeah I am right beside Vincennes on the border and it's so frustrating how everything seemingly misses this area outside of maybe the Ford Center in Evansville but that certainly isn't set up for football.

We will see what happens after this season. They could add team after that. USFL added a team in Memphis for the next season.

It's a huge test since they really wanted that Vegas team that badly and had to settle for Cashman Field.

Remember the last XFL used Metlife in NY/NJ. If the market is strong enough I think they could figure that out. As in there enough of an interest for fans wanting to go to game.

It's always cool to see the Rock and Dany get along like this after getting divorced all those years ago.

I thought Bob Stoops quit after Vince tried to carny his way out of not paying the coaches after the season was cancelled because of the pandemic and subsequent closing of the league

It’s still crazy to think that a Rock promo was the first thing fans saw when the XFL kicked off in 2001, and now he’s the part-owner.

I love these leagues and the fact they give more people the chance to earn a living from football.
The last version of the XFL was a relative success - solid TV ratings and produced players who then made it onto NFL rosters and contributed (Donald Parham, Taylor Heinicke, PJ Walker... I'm sure there were others).
3.0 seems to have guys who were actual stars in the NFL at one point, so will be interesting to see how they get on.

weird hearing how the officials talk - but I like the transparency I'd be surprised if the NFL didn't adopt this after this year. Works fine in rugby and cricket also.
