Like 23 and Me or all those type of sites?
I’m always curious about trying one but never bit the bullet.
Of course the beat service would be to hire someone to do all the work for you, but who has the money for that. Mandy Moore apparently as I saw her yesterday on an ancestry show called Who Do You Think You Are, but other than Mandy Moore who else?

23 and Me is strictly genetics. No family tree building/record lookup services.
Ancestry.com is the biggest when it comes to actual genealogy stuff. YMMV depending on your background. I couldn't find much Polish stuff on there. English stuff goes way back. No risk with the free trial of the service to see if you like it.
Familysearch.com is a free site that is almost on par with Ancestry in terms of resources, though it isn't as user friendly I don't think. It is run by the Mormons, and they take genealogy pretty seriously. They have many great resources. You can even request records that are not electronically available to be sent to one of their physical sites.
reddit.com/r/Genealogy is pretty helpful

I had my dna done through ancestry.com. I know my family history going a fair way back, and the results it came back with for the geographic areas my ancestors came from was spot on.
