I'd really like to see someone have the guts to actually adapt the Ghost in the Shell manga at some point instead of just continually calling back to the movie that's basically the actual start of the franchise. Be fun to see people react to the weird slapstick bits and the random lesbian sex scene.
That's all I've really got on this. Most I've ever really cared about Ghost in the Shell is I think SAC's opening credits are neat.

I'm up for this. Netflix seems to be letting their anime guys basically do whatever they want with no restrictions. If they let a Dracula show turn into a science vs religion narrative somehow and a reboot of an old superhero show turns into a psychosexual horror trip that ends with the hero literally f***ing Satan to death, I'm psyched to find out what they're gonna do with Ghost in the Shell. Even Godzilla which was the safest of their original anime managed to turn out more like Godzilla-flavoured Ender's Game, it was nowhere near as good as the other two but still pretty far out.
