Astaroth Incarnate, Unbeing, Lutharö, Fallen Kingdom Date: Saturday December 8th, 2018 Venue: Coalition in Toronto, Ontario Fallen Kingdoms singer couldn't make the show so they played as an instrumental three-piece prog, melodic death metal band. It kinda sucked at first but as their set moved on it got somewhat enjoyable. Lutharö were okay. They were a female fronted melodic death metal band and they sounded like every other female fronted melodic death metal band. They were pretty poserish but the singer was pretty. Unbeing was another instrumental death prog band, but they didn’t have a singer that didn’t show up. They don’t have a singer and they want to be that kind of band. They sucked. Astaroth Incarnate were thankfully good and a lot of fun. They’re cheese factor is extremely high but they’ve sounded good whenever I’ve seen them. And they’re sets are fun. Maybe because the other bands tonight were all so terrible? But they did a cover of Cradle of Filths Her Ghost in the Fog so that’s a total win in my books. This show sucked so bad and I had zero interest in it. The only reason I went is because Coalition is closing early in 2019 and I don’t know when the last time I’ll get to go there will be. There was a way better show there last night but I was getting over a cold and needed to stay in. And I wanted to finish Horizon Zero Dawn. So I only really went tonight because maybe this was the last time I'll get to go to my favourite bar?
