16 years later and I'm surprised this isn't talked about more. On paper its a throwaway episode of Courage, but in the episode itself, its a very very deep and complex episode that I'm not sure many kids understood. You have themes of Domestic Violence (Mad Dog, Bunny's abusive boyfriend), I always took Bunny as a character as being a closeted bisexual as well and Kitty being a closeted Lesbian (hence the mask she wears) and the ending as them finally being themselves with one another. Its a bittersweet ending but its very dark along the way (including Bunny getting assaulted by Mad Dog's gang).
What are your thoughts? Just another episode or a very dark episode with strong themes that a lot of kids I don't think really got in 2002.
