I'm guessing VR type stuff where it's like you're in the movie as a character. Pop your headset on and your Frodo in the movie seeing it through his eyes or something. People can hate all the want on Ready Player One, but you bet your ass I'd love to have Flicksync (hell, the OASIS as a whole) become a real thing. That's where I got the thought from. Being able to take a role in a movie would be amazing. Honestly, an OASIS isn't that farfetched an idea. Maybe not exactly the same with Star Wars worlds and Lotr world's. But I would not be surprised to see something similar. A virtual world with virtual businesses running there, virtual schools, museums, entertainment centers that you visit via a headset. Even with transporters to MMO type adventure/quest world's too. It seems the next step up from thingd like 2nd Life. Just on a far bigger scale

Honestly I hope physical media sticks around when it comes to movies. At one time I was like whatever about it until I realized Blu-Ray & Ultra 4K copies have better audio & video than streaming. Also, I don’t like that these streaming services keep deleting movies off their service. If there’s a certain movie I want to watch & they delete it off their service than what does one do if there’s no more physical media? With gaming it’s not the biggest deal to me but with movies I hope physical media sticks around.

Yeah, I don’t own any 4K movies yet but maybe in the future I’ll buy some. Regular Blu-Ray is fine to me for the time being.

The DVD and Blu-Ray markets are already cratering hard, with no physical replacement in sight. It's being projected that DVD/BR won't even be carried in most stores in five years' time.

Rampant Pirating.
If these companies think we’re gonna be signing up to 15 different streaming services, they’re in for a rude awakening.

It'll be a war, companies that stream content on one side and companies that develop software that helps people download and save streamed content on the other.

It’s likely going to come to the point where you have to buy strictly online to own physical copies. It sucks though since with streaming you’re not getting the best possible quality of audio & video. I also like knowing that I can put in a movie at any time than relying on a service. I think physical media will be around for quite awhile yet until the vast majority of areas all over have high speed internet. There’s still so many areas where their internet is horrific so how can they just alienate all those people? It wouldn’t surprise me but it’s definitely a move that will get lots of backlash.
