Obviously he's eventually going to lose the title, but to who? Gargano would have been the obvious choice, and I can still see them possibly doing that, but the heel turn kind of takes some wind out of that feud. Velveteen Dream is also possible I suppose.

Ricochet.
Who beats Ricochet? Adam Cole

I still think Gargano, but this heel turn has kind of thrown a wrench in my head-booking plans.

If anything Gargano finally gets it and then drops it to Ricochet probably
Adam Cole is a possibility as well but can't see them matching up him and Ciampa so he will have to wait for a face to win it to get the title

Gargano finally wins it, dances around and immediately trips Gollum style into the NXT volcano, destroying him and the title but also ending the evil corruptive power of the belt as well.

Thinking it goes back to Black, who will probably drop it to Gargano.
I thought there was a chance Black would be called up soon, but I doubt it now since Lars and EC3 are set to debut.

He would have been called up already if he didn't get injured and they just decided to say f*** it and create a story line out of it that has been more beneficial to Black than anything
I would say Gargano and Ciampa are call ups too but then NXT will have to replace those 3 as your guys. Tho that's not really the biggest problem when you have Ricochet, Cole, and Dream there as well

Gargano should beat him.
The heel turn could be explained as Gargano “having to enter the dark side” to defeat his greatest enemy.
But that makes too much sense so WWE will probably have him drop it on a random NXT to someone like Keith Lee.

Gargano would really bring the story full circle. They could just plan to call all 3 (Black, Ciampa & gargano) to the main roster & put it on Riddle or Adam Cole.

Some dude who's had a 10 year long underdog story and then immediately loses it.

They missed the opportunity to let Gargano have it when they were taking up over 1/3 of the length of a Takeover with their matches, Triple H-style.
Ricochet as the main event talent in NXT will get absolute go away heat from me, but I would take great pleasure in seeing Undisputed Era murder him in the ring.
Then send him to 205 Live, so I can forget he exists.

Gargano wins in a 4 way. Ciampa doesn’t get pinned.

Gargano wins in a 4 way. Ciampa doesn’t get pinned. Gargano wins but still doesn't beat Ciampa. I like it.
