The writing seems to be on the wall and it looks like Miz is slowly turning babyface. This thing with Shane is at least getting him over as a well liked heel as opposed to a hated heel.
We all saw how The Miz was as a babyface the first time, it didn't really work. So don't just swap his alignment and have him be The Miz except babyface. Make a real character change and have him drop the moniker.
The guy on Miz & Mrs. seems like a real cool guy who I'd actually like to hang out with.
Just try something different for once, even if it means getting away from a "brand" you've been building for eleven or so years.

That's been his wrestling name over 10 years Unless it is a Bradshaw to JBL type of circumstance where he changes his gimmick I don't see it happening
Just have more people start calling him Mike in backstage segments and shit like that, like they do with people calling HHH "Hunter" or Batista "Dave"

I want to see Miz get a run as top face champion on Smackdown. It's funny, because I couldn't stand the guy back around 2011(he was such a good heel) but these days he just seems like such a cool and likeable guy who obviously has a huge passion for WWE. Maybe give him that big face push against Bryan for Wrestlemania?

It's not going to happen when they have a TV show with the Miz name in the title. I think he could definitely use a new idea and character, but I'm not sure it has to include a name change any more than his many other reinventions needed a name change. He's always going to be The Miz but that doesn't mean they can't redefine what and who The Miz is.

"Diva" is also a term that they can apply to the women on the show rather than their division. "Miz and Mrs." doesn't really work on its own if the guy you're calling Miz isn't Miz anymore. |

I'm going to echo what some others had said... if it was just a gimmick name with no meaning, sure. But it's his real nickname based on his real name. It ain't going anywhere.

Funny thing about Miz is, I watched him on The Real World and those Challenges, and he's legit just a cool nice guy. It's amazing how he became a top heel in pro wrestling.
