When he debut it at SD
The WWE dubbed over version
It's not the quintessential "wrestling theme" but felt like it fit Taker well and just gave him that extra sense of aura with him coming out to Johnny Cash

Rubin-era Johnny Cash material had a real solemn and worn gravity to it that really, really suits Taker's later career. It brings that old, still-fighting cowboy edge Taker loves so much, but has such a stripped-down simplicity and lots of themes dealing with mortality and faith that made it a dead obvious pairing that still matched his character, and I think in removing those pieces they've helped expose Taker the past few years by taking a lot of that presentation away. Him as the old, tired gunslinger was an evolution that made his winding down a bit and showing his age all the more believable.

Taker as "The Last Outlaw" worked because it's a good evolution of his character and allowed a bit more humanity to him which was a good move considering he was getting older

Well I assume they didn’t kept it because the Carter state probably charges a lot for licensing his songs.

No, he needs to go back to the Katy Perry song.

Really puts into context that this was supposed to be near the end for him with that song and yet here we are 8 years later, and he'll probably have another Mania match.

I just want his true last match to feature Hurt by Cash. Idc if he used it in his entrance, in the video package, one of the Mania themes, it’s just the quintessential swan song for the Deadman.

It makes sense, but they may not want to use it, given it was used for an Eddie Guerrero video package. Might want to leave it be on account of that.

I want a gray haired 70 year old Undertaker kicking ass like Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino.

Loved it as it made sense since his last match before using it was losing a buried alive match

Johnny Cash is one of those things that I just can't get down with in the context of wrestling themes tbh. Like, it just feels waaaay too melodramatic to me, much like the whole Last Outlaw period in general.
