Ring of Honor “Supercard of Honor X: Night 1”
April 1st, 2016
From the Hyatt Regency in Dallas, Texas
Commentators: Kevin Kelly and Mr. Wrestling 3
Tonight: Jay Lethal defends the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship against Lio Rush and the Young Bucks face the Motor City Machine Guns.
Christopher Daniels vs. Bobby Fish
This was a really good opener. I can’t say much more than that.
Winner: Bobby Fish
Bobby Fish joins the commentary team.
Roderick Strong vs. Moose w/Stokely Hathaway
This was a surprisingly good match. It was nice to see Moose in a rare one-on-one match.
Winner: Roderick Strong
Classic Cheeseburger t-shirt ad.
BJ Whitmer comes out with the House of Truth and announces that he’s sold his spot in the following match to Joey Daddiego. Then he joins the commentary team.
Six-Man Mayhem
Joey “Diesel” Daddiego w/Taeler Hendrix’s breasts vs. Adam Page vs. Donovan Dijak w/Prince Nana vs. Frankie Kazarian vs. Cheeseburger vs. Dalton Castle w/the Boys
There was a nutshot sequence in this match that was pretty funny and original. It wasn’t a bad match outside of that either. As with all Six-Man Mayhem matches I wish it had been an elimination match instead of one fall to a finish.
Winner: Dalton Castle
Kyle O’Reilly vs. Matt Sydal
This match was good but these two bore the f*** out of me and I really didn’t pay attention to it. The finale pinfall was pretty cool though.
Winner: Kyle O’Reilly
Motor City Machine Guns t-shirt ad.
Adam Cole vs. ACH
This was another really good match but it was pretty much all because of ACH being so entertaining. Cole was just there to spoil ACHs chance for victory.
Winner: Adam Cole
All-Night Express, Silas Young & the Beer City Bruiser vs. the Briscoes & War Machine
This was a really good, fun, wild match and everyone looked really good but it was over way too quickly. It wasn’t even ten minutes.
Winners: the Briscoes & War Machine
Kenny Omega t-shirt ad. I still wish I’d have gotten that “Cleaner” shirt, it was awesome.
Will Ferrara joins the commentary team.
For the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship
Lio Rush vs. Jay Lethal (champion) w/Taeler Hendrix’s breasts
This was a really good match but it just made me laugh because the commentators were selling Lio Rush so hard as the future of Ring of Honor. RoH put so much into that guy and he didn’t even stick around a year.
Winner: Jay Lethal
Afterwards Jay Lethal gets on the mic and proclaims that there is no one left in Ring of Honor for him to beat. Colt Cabana comes out and challenges him to a match.
Motor City Machine Guns vs. the Young Bucks
This was okay.
Winners: the Young Bucks
After the match the Addiction attack the Young Bucks. The Briscoes come out too, which plays into a number one contenders match for the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championships on Night 2 of Supercard of Honor.

DVD bonus features:
Amber Gallows & Deonna Purrazzo vs. Mandy Leon & Solo Darling
I didn’t like this match because Solo Darling took the brunt of the damage and no woodland creature should have to endure that. The ending to this was so sloppy.
Winners: Mandy Leon & Solo Darling

This show was really good. The problem for me is I’ve seen all these guys wrestle so many times, and maybe even some of these matches on other shows. But if you were new to Ring of Honor this would be a great show to watch to give yourself a good strong impression of the federation.
This was one of their shows riding the wave of Wrestlemania being in town that weekends momentum. There were a lot of WWE shirts in the crowd. That was a nice change from the usual sea of Bullet Club shirts.
I only just touched on Colt Cabanas promo. He was a lot more serious than usual but it’s hard to take Colt Cabana serious with that ridiculous music accompanying him to and from the ring.
For some reason my wife hates Taeler Hendrix and isn’t sure who’s uglier: her (Taeler) or BJ Whitmer.
