One of the things I love most about wrestling is seeing characters grow and change.
Becky and Daniel Bryan's progressions have been great and fun to watch.
Any more examples that come to mind that you personally enjoyed?

Rusev went from generic "evil foreign guy" heel to being a popular dude with a big personality.

The original reunion of Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, with Ambrose initially rejecting the fist bump but a few weeks, he reciprocates it to massive cheers from the crowd.

Jericho’s multitude of character evolutions are the pinnacle of this.

Mizs from reality show goofball to arrogant direct-to-video wannabe actor who also happens to now be a quality wrestler has been excellent.
Triple H has had a good development arc throughout his career. Young arrogant upstart, anti establishment rebel, main eventer prick heel, grizzled veteran and now effectively the boss.
Regal has always had good development too. Anytime he's turned face or heel, there's been a good, understandable reason for it. And face or heel, he's never list the fact that he's a villain. Even when defending Eugene he was still vicious and willing to cheat. All ending with that excellent promo before his final match with Cesaro where he admitted all his failings have been his own fault and that he should have been more and that he knows he's going to lose because "miracles don't happen to Wiley old villains like myself". What a promo that was, by the way.

*wipes away tear from his eye* Such a great shot. I mean I get why they'd do a Dean/Seth feud but it makes me kinda wish Dean turned heel while staying bros with the babyface Rollins. It could've been like a Sting/Luger relationship.

I liked Cody's descent from dashing to disfigured It's a shame the next step was from disfigured to having a moustache.

Rusev went from generic "evil foreign guy" heel to being a popular dude with a big personality. Yet WWE insist on keeping him heel.

It could've been like a Sting/Luger relationship. *Seth slaps fives with fans, behind him Dean is antagonizing the people. Seth turns back, Dean is a smiling Babyface. Seth turns around, Dean goes back to cursing the fans out*

Bret Hart, HBK and Austin all changing from 96-97. Bret specifically.

Also Shawn's entire career from tag wrestler, to singles midcarder to face of the company, to obnoxious heel champion drug addict, retirement, comeback as a grown up that still has it, to WWE legend status.

I think people are confusing good character change with development.
For example Becky and Cody Rhodes all have storyline reasoning and a progression.
Rusev and Orton just randomly changed character(it doesnt make it a bad change).
An personal one for me would be MVP losing streak. It is one of the very few times a losing streak worked. You could see MVP being humbled and losing everything that made him cocky each week.
