I was just walking in the mall. I found an item that looks like a different version of the NES Classic. Only differences are that it doesn't have the Nintendo logo and it claims it has a whopping 620 games (no joke.)
Obviously it's an unlicensed product that Nintendi doesn't endorse. Did anyone else see an item like this. I highly doubt that it has 620 games in the system. I think it's a lie.

Any chance it was similar to this?

Chinese knockoffs aren't exactly a surprise anymore.
The interesting thing is that most Chinese pre-loaded knock-off Famiclones have a menu screen that plays the first stage theme from Mighty Final Fight.

While we're on the subject of NES classic knockoffs, has anyone seen the Retrobit generations system? Saw it at a store and was seriously considering getting it, as it's got a ton of games that arent on the NES classic or the Super NES, including some odd choices like Super 3D Noah's Ark.

Once it is hacked it is a decent system. The guys at Atari Age have done lots of work on it.

I bet it actually has like 20 different games with a bunch of hacks of those games. That’s pretty much exactly what it is. I’ve played them, they’re shit. You’re much better off spending the extra money and buying a legit one. And modding it, if you want a bunch of games.

So they're doing the same lazy thing they did with Famicom Multi-Carts 20 years ago. Amazing...

I have one. It’s got 600 games, tons of hacks and games you never heard of. Wanna play Tiny Toons but with a Mario 3 Mario sprite?? This is the system for you.

The 620 one is pretty bad, but the 600 Coolbaby is pretty decent for what it is.
It has a lot of rom hacks and homebrew rubbish but it also has a lot of good games like all 3 Mario games, all 4 NES Turtle games, Tiny Toons(non hacked btw), Mighty Final Fight, Double Dragon I-III, Contra and Super S, Megaman 3 and 5, and some legit NES games I'm playing for the very first time. It has the least amount of repeats and they're somewhat organized.
I have one and I personally think it was worth the $20 although your mileage may vary

When I looked at the screen at the mall, I think I knew it was a hack. I am wondering what the other games are. They must be games that were previously exclusive to Japan and/or games that would never be rereleased due to licensing issues like Jeopardy.

Probably a lot of early NES and Famicom games- the ones that don't take up much memory so they can cram a lot of them on there.

There’s no Zelda on mine for instance. I mean, there’s tons of stuff you probably know RBI Baseball, Turtles, Mario but then there’s stuff like Angry Birds, yeah that one, the “Mario” game that’s just a Tiny Toons reskin with Mario. There’s Mario Excite, Mario with the Excite Bike as an enemy.

Any chance it was similar to this? Speaking of Rerez... Shane comes off as Robotic and Fake to me. He had to bring Adam in so there was an actual personality for him to bounce off of.

The Mario games are also the Japanese versions, so when you lose a power up you go back to small Mario, makes the game harder.
