Ring of Honor “Glory by Honor XV”
October 14th, 2016
From the Frontier Fieldhouse in Chicago Ridge, Illinois
Commentators: Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino
Tonight: reDRagon vs. the Bullet Club (Adam Cole and Hangman Page)
The Tempura Boys vs. Cheeseburger & Will Ferrara
This was a surprisingly good showing from Will Ferrara and an even more surprisingly good match. The Tempura Boys looked sluggish though. The shorthaired one Yohey looked terrible but I’m willing to blame it on jet lag.
Winners: Cheeseburger & Will Ferrara
Beer City Bruiser w/Silas Young vs. Punishment Martinez w/BJ Whitmer vs. Donovan Dijak w/Prince Nana
Despite being a “super heavyweight” match this was surprisingly fast. All three guys went out to impress in this one and all three did. The only thing I didn’t like about this one was BJ Whitmer joining the announcers and their being more focused on his babblings (this was during that “blink and you missed it” angle with Kevin Sullivan).
Winner: Donovan Dijak
Sky High 4 Four Corners Survival - Tornado Rules
Angel Del Oro vs. Kamaitachi vs. ACH vs. Nick Jackson
This was okay. It was really short and ACH May have gotten hurt badly at the end when Kamaitachi dropped him on the back of his head during his finisher. Despite the billing of "Sky High" don't expect too much arial craziness.
Winner: Kamaitachi
Mark Briscoe and Dalton Castle Halloween ad. How have I never seen this before?
Dalton Castle w/different Boys vs. Jay Briscoe
This match didn’t do much for me at all. But Dalton Castle rarely does much for me.
Winner: Jay Briscoe
The Cabinet vs. Motor City Machine Guns & Jay White
There’s no “nice” way to say this: even the commentators attention was elsewhere during this match. Be it flirting with Scarlett Bordeaux, discussing the history Ring of Honor has in the building they were wrestling in or New Zealand. And listening to that talk was more interesting than Jay White. But it did give me a great opportunity to clean up after wrapping Christmas presents.
Winners: Motor City Machine Guns & Jay White
Mark Briscoe vs. Colt Cabana
This was a good match but it really wasn’t too exciting.
Winner: Colt Cabana
Silas Young t-shirt ad. f***ing classic.
Matt Jackson vs. Jay Lethal
This match was pretty good but after the referee got knocked out by an accidental Superkick things fell apart with Nick Jackson and the Addiction running interference. Then “boom” it was over.
Winner: Jay Lethal
The Addiction call for their Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championship rematch right now.
For the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championships
The Young Bucks (champions) vs. the Addiction
Well, that explains why the two other matches the Young Bucks were in at this show were so short. This was a decent match but ended in a disqualification when the other members of the Bullet Club-lite (Adam Cole and Hangman Page) interfered.
Winners: the Addiction via disqualification
The Bullet Club beat down the Addiction but reDRagon come to their aid, which leads into the main event.
The Bullet Club (Adam Cole and Hangman Page) vs. reDRagon
Jay Lethal and Silas Young joined the commentary team during this match and they talked more about Silas’ impending title match against Adam Cole, but I was honestly fine with it.
Winners: reDRagon

DVD bonus features:
Kevin Kelly preshow comments.
Kelly Klein vs. Thunderkitty
This was terrible. It should have been a one-minute squash.
Winner: Kelly Klein
Kevin Kelly and Silas Young post-show recap.

The commentary was really great tonight. There were times when Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino got off topic but it was during matches that stunk anyway. But Silas Young and Jay Lethal also joined the booth during the main event and they had great chemistry with one another. The wrestling itself tonight was very good. Good show.
It was pure coincidence that I watched Glory by Honors XIV and XV today. One of us closes our eyes and picks out something from the ol' Box o' DVDs and that's just the way it happened today. I actually watched them in reverse order but decided to post them chronologically.
