Why does it sound like a Seinfeld theme knock-off? Because...Seinfeld.

So....other phoned in theme songs for last seasons... Ooh, fun. Happy Days changed the theme slightly for its final season (from the one it'd had for the previous 7 or 8), and while it's not a completely different theme.....it's just so bizarrely off-key it almost seems a rip-off theme. And tired, too; it's like the singer is tired of the old one and is changing and adding flourishes because he's bored with how it normally sounds.. breaking something to fix it even though it didn't need fixing or breaking in the 1st place.. Also IIRC Family Matters dropped their classic theme when they moved to CBS. I can only imagine that one (which I can't find a video of) did not compare to the classic.

And any discussion of final seasons has to include:
(though to be fair, the only changed part is the beginning)

Now if you want a GOOD final season intro, look to the Superfriends:

Re: Garfield & Friends.
At the time, I thought the last season’s theme was awesome. Yay Rap! Then some years later I realized it was a horrifying mashup of the Seinfeld theme song and Us3’s “Cantaloop,” now I’m embarrassed for liking it in the first place.
Speaking of last season themes.
TMNT theme’s edgelord cousin of the Mid 90s

And any discussion of final seasons has to include: (though to be fair, the only changed part is the beginning) There's also subtle little changes, a bit more synth perhaps if you listen carefully? (You can really hear it in the end credits though...) The theme was the least of the problems about this season. Whereas with Happy Days, you could tell something was up by just listening. Just changing up the theme for the sake of changing it. I did like the "morphing" scenes going from young to old Joanie and Chachi, though. And how did I forget the last TMNT season? (aka Turtles Go To Gotham) ?? Is it true that the last season of the Flintstones replaced the closing theme with Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm singing from that one episode? Or was it just a one-shot deal? Not sure if it's too early to tell, and it's not the last season (that we know of), but Young Justice: Outsiders does not have the music stinger of the CN run. Would going from the Sunbow theme to "Gotta get tough, Yo Joe" count? (actually liked both themes though) Mid '90s me would protest the change from the classic Family Feud theme to the jazzy one in the last season of the '80s-'90s run (when Richard Dawson came back), but like most things about that one season, it wasn't bad at all. Would fit the Steve Harvey version actually. How about continuation series from original ones? I didn't hate the opening theme, but The New Avengers tune was nowhere as unique as the original's. Oh, and Scrabble '93 compared to the 1984-90 run. It had a couple years left, but "This is Extreme" inferior, Thunderkiss '65 (preceded by "Closer" heartbeats) superior. Changing themes, BTW, was subverted by Crazy Ex-Girlfriend...which came up with a great opening song every season and made me feel less bad about missing the previous. Big Blue Marble going from the original song to "Closer" too. Oh! And Justice League when it went to Unlimited. Thought I would miss the epic sounding Seasons 1-2 theme, but honestly I like the JLU music more. I Dream of Jeannie goes from the really old timey theme to the iconic one we all know.

Oh god, when they brought back WKRP in 1991 theye had this theme instead of the classic one. Yet they kept the original, "gibberish" end theme, no? Basing this on the snippet left over back when I did the Closing Logo Group Megamix VHS tapes, and someone sent the tail end of a New 'KRP closing to get the "Ooooh!" MTM variant.

Now if you want a GOOD final season intro, look to the Superfriends: Which leads me to ask.....which Superfriends theme do you prefer? The 1973 melody, or the one used from 1977-84? (I did like how the last two seasons combined both and didn't make anything sound hokey)

No wonder the international version just kept Ready to Party. That's because us international viewers brought lots of spaghetti

TMNT theme’s edgelord cousin of the Mid 90s I remember playing a old NES game (can't remember which one, it was a racing shooter game), and the BGM sounded like this. So every time it started, I was like, "Teenage. Mutant. Ninja. Turtles!"

I guess they wanted to change it to make it fresh, but it came out all wrong.
