Watching Spring Stampede 1997, Scott Steiner is trying to get at Kevin Nash in his locker room. Nash spits in Scotty's face and Scott goes berserk. To stop him Doug Dillinger maces Scott, the security team takes Scott down. Doug gets down on the ground and proceeds to RESUME SPRAYING MACE DIRECTLY INTO SCOTT'S FACE! Jesus, Doug, you need decaf.  |

I’m surprised after seeing this wcw didn’t use this approach for getting rid of the nwo just hire more security and buy a bunch of mace I believe back in 97 Mace R Us had a deal where when you buy 100 cans you get 10% off on the next 100 when you use the promo code DILLENGER seeing he was such a superstar in the macing community. |

I believe that’s a reference to the main event of Clash of the Champions X: a six-man tag match that took place in a cage pitting Ric Flair and Arn and Ole Anderson against The Great Muta, The Dragon Master, and Buzz Sawyer. During the match, Sting (who had been kicked out of the Four Horsemen earlier in the night) ran down to the ring to try to get at Flair. He started to climb the cage, only to be restrained by security and several of the babyfaces. Sting legitimately hurt his knee during the scuffle, so WCW was forced to change plans. |

Dillinger wasn't a worker so when Sting went to climb the cage instead of pretending to pull him down and letting Sting jump he actually did, tearing Sting's ACL in the process.
