I mean, I GET where his head's at, I do, but man, hearing one of your all-time favorite guys basically say "Nah, don't really miss it" is....kind of a morale breaker. I get what you mean to an extent but from my end, I just see it that I’m glad the dude’s content and happy to take his time and not rush and doesn’t have the same cravings a bunch of other people do. I’m sort of tired of hearing about people being so passionate for the business, they rush their rehab, rush back into the ring and they’re out for the next 6 months having reinjured themselves. And yeah, having it out that honestly can be a tad “hurtful” but it seems more like he’s got a less prideful, less “head over heart” mindset and I appreciate that as a fan.

Yeah, it’s easy to forget (mostly because of our commitment to the gag of “El Generico and Sami Zayn are separate people”, and yes I know that will likely be referenced in response to this) that Zayn was probably THE busiest person on the indies before he signed with WWE. Dude was travelling EVERYWHERE for matches, making adopting the WWE schedule look like a lateral move at worst. I also don’t ever recall him having an injury absence at any point before WWE. I don't recall Sami ever being injured. Nor Generico for that matter, prior to his untimely death. Those poor orphans. I'm assuming you are continuing the prior to the WWE... as Sami messed up his shoulder in his match against Cena. Yeah the Heel Turn started okish... but... it didn't go anywhere... and then tying it to the Bryan return they never really got a big win moment to make them come off as at all competent. Everyone would probably be better served just having him come back as the underdog face stuff again and act like the heel turn never happened when he gets back.

This too... yeah it's like when Cena rushed back to injury way earlier than expected... except like... then it becomes the norm and you can only do that so many times before you actually severely and permanently injure yourself.

He's one of my faves, and I was bummed when he got injured. But to hear him go "I'm not rushing to go back", it's kind of like "oh...ok then."

I love his attitude. Quite frankly I wish other wrestlers took this public stance when they get injured.

I love his attitude. Quite frankly I wish other wrestlers took this public stance when they get injured. It also makes sense for him because, as someone mentioned before, he was one of the hardest working men on the indies back in the day. He got to the point where now he can be way more comfortable and I can respect the hell out of that because he earned that big time.
