More or less an 'unpopular opinions' thread, something WWE related which angered a lot of fans, but didn't anger you somehow. For me: Shane McMahon winning the World Cup. For the record, I still marks for Shane O'Mac, even considering the not so stellarness of his current WWE run. Also, it's not like he won any important tournament. It wasn't for any Championship, it wasn't even an official King Of The Ring. It was something the 'E made up because the Saudis wanted an important-sounding tournament for that PPV. (Now that I think about it, I feel like they might've made it a KOTR, but perhaps they feared it would upset Saudi Arabia's actual King.) Shane basically won Kuwait Cup 2018. (Making the 'World Cup' even less serious, it wasn't in the traditional Soccer/Football World Cup format, which is group play, while this was the single elimination bracket. You're really going to call something a World Cup without the group play stuff?)

Ronda Rousey. Yes, her interviews and tweets were cringe-worthy, but she picked up the in-ring part of the game lightning fast.

I'm still a Shane mark too. So that tops my list as well.

Shane winning doesn't make me mad, it's funny as hell.
And I like Shane.

Stuff didn’t necessarily anger me, but I was pretty annoyed with a handful of stuff. That being said, I didn’t mind Shane winning the World Cup, Roman winning the universal title, Ronda’s promos and her ascent to the top, The Corbin/Braun match at TLC, Bryan’s heel turn, Ambrose/Rollins match at TLC, Bryan/Miz at Summerslam, Braun’s second heel run, Joe losing at SSD, last week’s Raw, Jeff Hardy doing THAT spot at Hell in a Cell, Nia Jax in the women’s title picture, and Romans promo work.
If it gets to the point of legit anger, maybe it’s time to take a break tbh. That’s just me tho.

Roman Reigns finally winning the Universal Title at Summerslam, he should've gotten it much earlier.

I can't get on the Samoa Joe is a bitch train. Dude is perfect at his job. When they need a big scary dude to step into a program, he's there.

The Men’s Royal Rumble was honestly the most joyous thing to watch on WWE TV in a long time. It just felt like a super fun match with tones of arcs going through it to make everyone seem important, even minor stuff like with everyone who kicked Heath and stuff.

The Johnny Gargano heel turn. It may have left me puzzled at first, but I kind of like it now. I like the idea of the typical good guy being so convinced that he has to be the one to take down a villain like Ciampa, that he himself becomes a villain and victimizes Aleister Black to get the opportunity he feels he deserves.

Most of it has been on the women's side. Rousey's storming rookie year (at least in the ring, sure), Becky suddenly clicking on everything, Evolution being a blend of the new & old and delivering in the ring, the TLC Asuka-Charlotte-Becky three-way and Charlotte-Becky LMS bouts and just the sheer different animal the women's division is portrayed as compared to even just three or four years ago.
Alongside that would be several high quality matches in the year yet again from AJ Styles, Seth Rollins and fantastically Daniel Bryan, pretty much everything Gargano-Ciampa in NXT and both the men's and women's Rumbles.

I enjoyed Constable Corbo. He got too much screen time as GM (and the evil GM trope is played the f*** out), but I thought he performed well in that role too.

NXT. The emergence of Shayna Baszler as the big bad of the women's division, the ascension of the Velveteen Dream, the epic Gargano vs Ciampa rivalry, Aleister Black, the whole thing has just been insanely good tv.

This might be controversial but I’m going to be honest. Nia breaking Becky’s nose didn’t anger me. Accidents happen. I felt really bad for Becky. It also gave us an incredible memorable moment. The image of her standing tall covered in blood is the most profound WWE moment of the entire year for me. Maybe of all wrestling this year. Some called it her Austin moment. It was powerful stuff. I didn’t know her nose was broken at the time but we also don’t get that moment without it. It also gave Becky an amazing boost in popularity and recognition so I’d bet she’s ok with how things played out too.

I liked Constable/GM Corbin also, I like seeing heels ham it up and then get their comeuppance later on.

Becky's rise during the latter half of 2018. They seem to have finally gotten on board and I appreciate it.
Actually, SDL these past 2-3 months has been picking up steam so I gotta say that.

I wasn't angry over Charlotte ending Asuka's streak. It was how they followed up on it that sucked.
I was also fine with Carmella beating Asuka the first time with Ellsworth's help. Her doing it at Extreme Rules is a different story.
Shane winning that tournament was so absurd, I couldn't be angry about that. Shit's hilarious. I guess it helps I didn't watch the show.
Becky getting her nose broken was really disappointing, but I wasn't angry over it. We got an awesome Charlotte vs. Ronda match out of it and Becky ended up becoming even more popular because of it.
Dean bringing up Roman's illness didn't bother me at all.
