As it's about to strike midnight here in the UK, wishing everyone here a Happy New Year.
I hope your 2018 went ok - I'd give mine a B. I made my first trip abroad to New York and Philadelphia to see the Royal Rumble, and bought my first house.
On the downside I've had lots of family problems, been conned out of £2,500 and fell victim to unrequited love.
How did yours go FAN?

I'm officially writing this in 2019,
despite a bad start to the year, it's been not bad, i've been in a good place mentally for most of it, so it's a big positive for me

I'll say a B.. For most part it was pretty good.. I wont say it was perfect but It's only when I look back and I realise I've done a lot more than I thought.
That said a lot of friends I didn't see at all in 2018.. My social life did take a bit of a nose dive.
So yeah, The positives for most part outweight the negative.

Pretty crap, but it was better than the deaths and diseases that plagued my family throughout 2017 I suppose.

I’ll always remember it as the year I kinda had to push Restart.

I took a job that has been an absolute f***ing nightmare. I can leave it in four months, so 2019 can't be any worse.

B
New job, new place, new outlook on life.
Would be an easy A, except at the end of November I was in a wreck and had spinal fusion surgery that I'm still recovering from. Everything's on schedule to recover, but I'm still banged up.

I'll give it a B-.
I got a job, was actually able to keep it for more than 6 months, and only had to leave it due to winning disability benefits, which I did not think I would ever win back. Finally got home internet, too.
Also started college, something that I did not think I would ever do.
Wasn't all perfect, though. I just stopped doing a lot of things I liked to do, which didn't help my depression. Having some difficulty in college classes, especially English, didn't help this out a lot.

Coulda been better but I didn't end up in an emotionally abusive situation like 2017 so grade's improving there at least!

Could’ve been better but I can’t complain too much. I put responsibilities ahead of a lot of fun I could’ve had last year. I have to make more time for myself and for the people I’d like to see more this year.

I've made new friends, and uhh, saw some good TV shows, but on a global event scale affecting people I care about, 2018 was a ludicrously bad year.

Well 2017 involved my girlfriend of 9 years leaving me because I wanted to return to wrestling. I think I told that story.
2018 could have been just average and it would have been good in comparison.
It was an excellent year. Professionally all is well, I've got lots of projects and my bosses are happy with me. Wrestling-wise, I'm having fun with my friends, just a bunch of guys in their late 30s and 40s and 50s having fun like the good ol' days of the 90s and 00s. I want nothing else. No ambition. The promotion has no ambition. None of the guys do. We just want to do our stuff for the fans that appreciate it.
And family-wise... My girlfriend of the last year made me the best gift new year's gift.... I will be a father for the first time in August!

My lifes not where I want it to be but that's due to previous shit years. There's more bad times on the horizon.
In isolation though I guess an a, feel better mentally, got fitter, more social and a permanent contract at work has removed my main source of short term stress. Spent an awesome couple of weeks solo travelling in Croatia which isn't something I'd have done a few years back when going to the shops was a struggle and followed that up with another fun long weekend.

I'd give my 2018 a C. Wasn't great, wasn't bad. It just sorta happened, I guess.

So many parts of 2018 were total dogshit for me and my family. 2017 wasn't fantastic by any means, either. So I'm really hoping this is the year where things start looking up. I'm trying my best to be cautiously optimistic. Also, I turned 30 this year, and I think it was kind of a wake-up call that while I'm still young, by the same token, I'm not getting any younger, either, and I think it's making me push harder than I ever believed I could to get where I want to be in life.

F. Our family was three weeks from being homeless at the start of the year, we finally find something and pack everything on two weeks notice, my mother gets diagnosed with cancer in March and she passes away in October. Next.

Next. Man I'm sorry to hear that, sounds like you've had s lot of crap in a short space of time - and losing someone sucks whether life is great or not. Hope you're pulling through it and you've got people supporting you.
