not necessarily an end of a promotion but I still relate WWF and WWE as two different properties...I was and still am a bit depressed about that old logo and the change to the 'E...Using an edited version of it as the "Legend" or legacy logo still pisses me off to this day Same. It also didn’t help that the change from WWF to WWE happened right at the same time that the brand split happened and Stone Cold left (and The Rock was clearly on his way out). I remember feeling at the time that the WWF had “died” too because it was just so different. Those few years right after the Monday Night War were depressing. It felt like all the wrestling from the boom era was gone in the blink of an eye.

World Class becoming USWA was sad. Watching Eric Embry tear down the WCCW stuff broke my heart.
I had hoped Mid-South changing to UWF would be a good thing. But Crockett came in and it just disappeared.

I’d have to say World Class. It was a long slow demise that honestly began with the death of David Von Erich

But Crockett came in and it just disappeared. Too bad WCCW had to become the USWA due to the WCCW name probably being trademarked by the Von Erich's, UWF had the bad luck of coming along at the time of the oil market going bust (which in a way also affected World Class)

Anyone mention Wrestling Society X? Over the top pyro explosions aside, I highly enjoyed their run.

Exactly it truly felt that they were separate entities and that one was never coming back...The bastardization they did on the old school RAW shows pissed me off even more because they didn't try at all..They still had all the stuff in the warehouse and could have really done something but they tongue and cheek cokehead HBK style'd every one of them and didn't give a damn about it

It's really odd trying to explain to people who weren't alive/fans what it was like in 98 or 99 with WCW/WWE/ECW on nationwide TV. Personally, I'd flip flop channels on Monday nights until late 2000 between Raw and Nitro with my chex mix or popcorn. On Friday nights, ECW was on TNN and one of the local pizza places ran a 9.99 large pizza special that me and my buddies would throw down on. I didn't like ECW especially but with that deal and the time spent with my friends, it gets my vote.

I'd say ECW gets my vote, since I watched that consistently. Being in Buffalo, we had the MSG network so I was able to watch ECW at 7am on Saturdays and 2am that night, along with listening to PPVs scrambled in my room and later on TNN. I was sad they were just done and i eventually stopped watching all together shortly after this until 2007. I can see why others would get the nod, but aside for WWF, WCW, and ECW, I got USWA via satellite for awhile, I think in 95 or 96. I believe it was a 5p or 6p Saturday slot. One week they were gone and I never watched them again.

Seeing what TNA has become breaks my heart.
The whole rebranding to “Impact Wrestling” back in 2012 killed it for me. Putting the title on guys like Sabin, Young and Magnus was the final nail in the coffin. And now I see them on YouTube wrestling in Indy arenas pushing a bunch of indyriffic guys I never even heard of.
The funny thing is... I don’t even blame Hogan and Bischoff. Yeah they’ve done some stupid shit like bringing in the Nasty Boyz and putting Val Venis over Daniels but 2010-2011 TNA was actually enjoyable for me. Heel Jeff Hardy was AMAZING... at least until Victory Road. Joker Sting was quality. I’ve always been a mark for Ken Anderson aswell and his feud and matches with Angle were incredible, some of the most underrated matches ever.
The worst thing they did was the whole “Nature Boy” AJ Styles thing. And changing the ring to 4 sides.
For me, changing the identity of the company was what killed it. “TNA iMPACT” stood out. The 6 sided ring, the red theme made it look important. Going to that crappy “Impact Wrestling” theme which basically looked like WCW Thunder turned people’s eyes away. It didn’t even LOOK good production wise anymore. “TNA, Total Nonstop Action” was a good name. “Impact Wrestling” sucks and sounds like some one-off they’re doing re-runs of on Challenge TV years after the fact. Ironic.

They said “saddest” not “most epic way to go out in a blaze of glory”!😉
