I watched this last night. Also, I was delighted to find out that Ed Asner is still alive! I thought he may have been one of those not so recent passes.
Some observations...
*At the beginning Verne Gagne’s character is said to have a devastating drop kick/sleeper combination. An announcer says this as a Gagne match is shown and it then takes Gagne about 5 minutes to do these moves in slow motion.
*It’s amazing to see how huge the Bruiser and the Crusher looked next to normal size people.
*I love how they keep talking about how young Dory Funk Jr. is (32 at the time). Also, he’s STILL wrestling.
*Some unfortunate Asian stereotypes are there when Dusty and Murdoch get into some brawling.
*I really wasn’t expecting the Vince McMahon Sr. cameo.

Why did Dusty had a fifteen year old girl haircut?

I enjoyed it. Wasn't expecting much, just wanted to see it to say I did. I may watch it again tonight.
Ever see Wrestling Queen (1973)? It's not a movie as more of a documentary. Vivian Vachon's first tour of the US is highlighted (hence the title), but there's a lot of guys in it as well talking about what they do.
Butcher & Mad Dog Vachon (and their dad, wow), a lot of stuff from Leroy McGuirk and his Tri-States area. (Hodge, Watts, Terry & Jim Garvin - as a skinny blonde heel, neat). Even a fan riot breaking out!
And comments from fans, when asking the question "Is it real or fake?" (Many say it's bullshit, but a lot of them enjoy the action.)

You gotta listen to the Lapsed Fan shit on this awful movie.
Greg Gagne tried to lie in a Kayfabe Commentaries shoot about the movie drawing well and that the executives stole the money. Jim Cornette then looked him straight in the eye and told Gagne that as a kid he went to see the movie in Memphis and there were only three people watching it with him.
f*** Greg Gagne.

I had no idea it existed. Is it on DVD or YouTube?

YouTube has it. If you've seen The Wrestler there, it should be in the suggestions part.

I met Ed Asner middle of last year, after his one-man show (about his prostate!) Nice guy..EXTREMELY so! Spent like half an hour with me.

I posted it for recommendation on the RiffTrax website. I know for some, that may sound unfair, but you gotta remember this was a Verne Gange vanity project designed to end where Verne's character goes against the script.
Also, how Ed Asner got involved in this project remains a mystery to me.
