I read both but went through a huge Batman phase when Dark Knight released and Arkham Games were coming out. I went through the same with Marvel and when their MCU went into phase 2.

I'm quite odd in that I enjoy reading the single issues of DC stuff every month, but I'll only get Marvel graphic novels. Dunno why, just always how I've done it. Unless there’s a story that’s got me hooked, I’ve bought more graphic novels than monthlies period as time goes on.

Haven't read a comic book since I was a child, but I've always loved the Batman franchise. Marvel hooked me with the MCU, but aside from Gotham and the Arkham games nothing DC have done in the last decade has really swayed me back to their camp.

I was way more into Marvel until I ran into James Robinson and Geoff Johns work on the JSA. I stopped reading DC when the JSA got deemphasized.

I've been a long-time fan of both, but I do go through phases where I prefer one over the other.
