Anyone remember Stork/Phenom and Unibomb's wrestling themes website from the late '90's? I found it archived on Archive.org and just seeing the site again brought back a wave of nostalgia. web.archive.org/web/19971017095011/http://unistork.simplenet.com/I remember back in the late 90's downloading themes like "DOINK THE CLOWN HEEL THEME WITH CROWD NOISE" which was of course a wav file that was probably only a minute long and being really happy. I always thought it was interesting how many different themes any one wrestler could have.

I used to use moonsault.de I think it was Yeah, that's the one I used, one of the first sound clips I hunted down when I first got the internet in 1999 was The Fabulous Rougeau's theme.

Simplenet, wow, we're really going back. I wouldn't even be surprised if the first theme music site I found was hosted on there. I still remember how, in 1998, I spent like 20-30 minutes downloading a 2MB .wav of Cactus Jack's theme on dial-up. Good times.

Heh, now most of the "rare" themes can be found on youtube with the click of a button (only ones I cant find are the Strike Force instrumental and the one-time Rockers theme with lyrics).

I remember checking this site religiously, then one day ohmygod.simplenet.com popped up and it was such a wave of the future. This was also the site that I recall in 1998 pointing out how ridiculous it was to hear Tony saying "the ye-tay."
I loved unistork. So many dial-up hours spent here.
i think my favorite memory was in spring or so of 1998 when the New Age Outlaws theme was impossible to find without Road Dogg talking all over it, he put up a plea to anyone internally inside WWF for a CD-quality rip of it and was offering...wait for it... "up to" $35!
Thirty-Five Dollars!
I don't know why that always stuck out to me. Internet was a simpler time.

He was probably a 13 year old kid and $35 was what he'd saved up from Birthday and Christmas gift money.

God, theme collecting in the 90s was so much fun. I was looking through some of my old pages when i ran Wrestling Music Inc. Every week posting new edits on themes with commentary or getting a theme c&c. Then once stock sites were discovered it blew up! Used to visit sites every day updating to see if something was discovered and released. Theme titan, stork and unibombs, oh my god!, and literally dozens of others.

Ha that is awesome, I didn't really come across Unistork myself as I was mainly using Napster at the time. It is amazing how the times have changed from us being happy having to a C&C, to now everyone wanting the song FULL in FLAC/Full WAV etc. If they don't get that then they're unhappy. Like some have said here it was much simpler times.

I've made several cassettes of wrestling themes. Every time there would be new themes, I would make another cassette. I even made a cassette of just wresting promos and segments. Then, when Xylot Themes came around, I downloaded every theme & just kept them on my computer to listen to.
