There's alot of talk about WWE's many different eras, like Attitude and the late 80s period.
Well as someone who has been sort of getting into watching old WCW bits and pieces(my family always watched WWF) I've been wondering what people's opinions on the different "eras" in WCW are. I'm not super educated on it, but I know there's obviously a bit difference between the early 90s Saturday Night days and the years with the NWO on Nitro, and of course the final days.
I'm curious to learn everyone's take on these different eras, and just how different each one was besides simple roster changes. Thanks!

For me it was:
1992-1994, I didn’t have cable so I would watch WCW Worldiwde each week, it aired late Saturday-early Sunday morning here in the NY area and the feuds like Sting/Vader, Steamboat/Rude, Steamboat/Douglas vs Hollywood Blondes had me hooked, I hope they upload these to the network one day.
1996-1998, the rise of the nWo with Hall/Nash and Hogan as the third guy had me intrigued every week it was must-see TV for a couple of years until it got stale in 98 and even then the mid card was strong like Booker/Benoit’s best of 7 series and Jericho being a chickenshit heel during his reign as cruiserweight champion.

For me 1993 until Hogan shows up in 94 it was a blast one of my favorite times as a fan and it produced two of my favorite ppvs spring stampede and slamboree of 94

I was about 6 or 7 at the time and I think every fan has a bit of an affinity to the wrestling that is a part of their earliest memories.

The Vader era (pre-Hogan), and the pre-Starrcade 1997 nWo era. Both time periods were incredible.

Not including the classic NWA years, I really liked WCW from around 1992-early 1994, and around late 1995 to the nWo era before Starrcade 1997. I still kept up with it after that until late 1999 when Russo arrived and things went from bad to flat out embarrassing.

I didn't really watch much of WCW as it was happening, but have a lot of videos from the final year or so of the company and a few from 1990 to 1992. These are my two favourite periods in WCW. Ironically, they couldn't be more opposite but I do like them for different reasons.
I've never been a huge fan of the nWo era, and christ watching most stuff from 1995 is a damn chore. At least the main event scene.

1988-1990 JCP/NWA, then fast forward to 1992-1994 WCW.

1993-Pre Hogan 94
Dungeon of Doom aside, late 95 after Nitro started was fun
Then early nWo period 96-early 98

NWA 1985-88 was awesome.
NWA 1989 was also great, but that is a different era and feel from the previous years.
WCW 1992 - pre Hogan 1994 good times.

Pretty much the same as everyone else. Loved 93-Hogan's arrival. Sting as the lead babyface, believable monsters, deep midcard, good feuds. As a kid, I loved it. Then again at the start of NWO-the end of 98. Stunning heights, an even deeper card, and most of my all-time faves on the same roster. Oddly the bookends for this are really bad.

It's fascinating how terrible business wise WCW was during that 1992-94 era that people look back at fondly. The quality wasn't bad, but they just had no idea how to market themselves at all. Flair's 1991 work in WCW is so...odd. It's like watching a guy that doesn't seem like he should be there anymore or on top anymore, yet they went back to him anyway due to the Sting run in 1990 tanking.

The 1997 year for WCW. Definitely wasn't perfect but had great feuds and buildup to the matches with arguably the best roster ever. Especially the July-Dec Starrcade period. Also enjoyed a lot from 1992-94 as well having gone back and watched it.

91-92.
Sting's mystery gifts.
Luger's heel run.
Rick Rude's arrival.
Dangerous Alliance.
Steamboat killing it every other week.
This period is what made me a die hard wrestling fan.
