You know the guy the Fugitive was based on. They said he became a pro wrestler. Invented the Mandible Claw. Was he any good or any interesting stories about him?

I want to say he had a wrestler for a dad or in-law or something of some note.
I don't know a lot about him, but I want to say he had a drinking problem near the end that led to an early grave.

He was only in the business for about eight months before he died. He was billed as "Killer" Sam Sheppard, not only playing up his more infamous notoriety, but what wasn't played up was that a few months before he started wrestling, he actually DID kill someone accidentally during a surgery-gone-wrong.

He didn't start wrestling until he was 45. he was trained by his father in law George Strickland. Doubt he was very good in the ring. Total heel because everyone thought he killed his wife.

Wrestled in mostly small venues: every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse

I was thinking you meant the actor from Tombstone and The Ranch. Figure every match would be him staring down his opponent, making a quip, then flipping them with his moustache and getting the pin.
