To be fair, I thought Sheamus worked out fine. It's not exactly his fault he got caught in the "18 seconds" fiasco. I hope Lars gets help. Doesn't excuse his past comments by any stretch, but I wouldn't wish that kind of crippling anxiety on anyone. Here's hoping he gets the help he needs. It is his fault in the sense that he was not good enough for his position, even before 18 seconds he wasnt very popular(The Lets Go Ziggler Chants for example). And people wanted Bryan Diff'rent strokes, I guess. I like Fella.

Man, I gotta give props to this thread for the amount of others like myself saying they suffer from anxiety too. I didn't expect it. I don't know, I think it's more and more common and only likely to get moreso.

I can't see a scenario where giving Lars Sullivan a monster push doesn't end in a PR nightmare. I can imagine a brief segment on Last Week Tonight where they point out, "here's what that company that did a show in Saudi Arabia is doing next: positioning a white supremacist to be a big star by having a match with John Cena". Not enough people cared to move the needle the first time, he's not going to waste his time going back to the WWE well again.

Another anxiety sufferer here. I lost my last 2 full time jobs due to it, and avoided god knows how many job interviews and opportunities. It's the cause of my massive debt, and the stress it brings causes my eczema which in turn causes more stress and anxiety. I'm on medication now and on a waiting list for therapy but I still struggle. I'm still essentially unemployed, in massive debt and battling eczema but I don't shake uncontrollably now at least. Small victories, heh.
Anxiety sucks. Feeling bad for this prick isn't where I expected to be but here we are.

Unfortunately I’d be shocked if they ever catch heat over this. The story came out months ago and it didn’t get any mainstream buzz. I know I personally did some work trying to get it in the hands of some of the bigger news places that would be interested in a story like this, and nothing came of that either. I think it would take a pretty big movement to get it into the mainstream consciousness, but most wrestling fans don’t seem to know about it, and a lot that do use the same bullshit “he was young!” (he was 26 in some of the posts) defense. A lot of wrestling sites didn’t even pick up the story. I’d love it if it blew up in their faces, but it’s hard to imagine it happening at the moment.

I assume the more Lars becomes a presence the show, the most likekly people will pick up.Right now he is not even on TV for outlets to care I can see the headline " WWE: White Supremacist the World Champion"

You might be surprised how few people give an actual shit about WWE in the grand scheme of things, and what's more, how little they even want to acknowledge WWE's existence.

OK Vince, please retire.
Even aside from Anxiety or being a White Nationalist, this would be an atrocious idea.

I would totally be down for a Kevin Sullivan led Dungeon of Doom to end Cenamania. Cena has to reenact "it's not hot", and remind us that he's never been there, before. For maximum hilarity.

Who will be Hogan's Zodiac/Bootyman for John Cena.
If this ends with Cena celebrating and yelling, "Booty, booty, booty, booty!", it would be worth it.

Despite how I may feel about Lars due to his past comments, I also know first-hand how terrifying it can be to suffer an anxiety attack, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. I sincerely hope that he can get that taken care of.

Anxiety is horrific, I suffer from it as well. You never hear about many wrestlers who suffer, but with so many celebrities coming out and telling their stories of anxiety in recent times I think we will hear of further people in the business.
He’s clearly not ready for the spot though. Awful for him but you can’t force it. Especially with mental health

This sounds like a terrible idea.
Now, replace Sullivan with Velveteen Dream, and we're good to go.

Feed a big monster who could have an upcoming future to Cena. Never seen that before.

So, the plan is to have a guy who has yet to prove himself on the main roster, and who prior to getting signed to the WWE was making homophobic comments and posting white nationalist talking points on a bodybuilding forum and now is known to suffer from anxiety attacks to be against a 16-time World Champ in front of a WM crowd, which will for sure not be showing him any mercy. What could possibly go wrong here?

Any other company, same situation, and it’d be personally crucified in the public square but WWE manages to fly under the radar as this vestige carny artform.

Don’t understand the business sense of continuously throwing Cena in underwhelming mania matches. Really hasn’t had a big match since twice in a lifetime
