The dude broke into North American wrestling 24 years ago. He is still having amazing matches.
There are plenty of guys who have been in the industry for 20+ years, but few still have the athleticism and have the ability to have amazing matches like Rey.

He's like 2 inches taller than me, and was really nice, when I met him.

He’s come back a new man. He was obviously broken down during his last run.

I will not appreciate him while he wears the stupid gear with the diaper on over the pants and the stupid little mask Mohawk.

Rey is one of the very wrestlers that when I saw him for the first time (the 2 out of 3 falls match with Psicosis in ECW, their second match with the company), I was like "I have NEVER seen anything like this guy." In late 1995 through 1997, he was just insane. I always felt sad when everyone would rag on him during the last few years of his previous run over his booking and his physical breakdowns; it was like Willie Mays on the Mets, a f***ing LEGEND that just couldn't do it any more. So glad he seems completely reborn in this new run (agreed that his outfit keeps getting worse, though)
He's probably in my all-time Top 10.

Couldn't stand him during his last run, but he has looked great since his return. I hope he and Almas have a proper feud/match after the tag match on Tuesday. And yeah, like häšhtå.gdālėÿ said, he needs to change the gear again.

Who would've thought the guy who was falling apart all throughout 2011-2014 would actually have a comeback 5 years later and be solid again? The surgeries, getting in better shape, and the time away worked wonders for him. I can only hope he calls it quits before time catches up once again. Better to be a Shawn Michaels than an Undertaker or Kane.

I will say this, the 619 is a dangerous move, a deadly move.

I have been harsh on him at times, but during his LU run and this one, he's looked like a man who has found himself again. When he retires, it will be as one of the best.
I think a big part of what has helped in LU and now is, he's not treated as an underdog despite winning a lot and having such an impressive resume. In Lucha Underground, he was treated as royalty, "Rey" indeed, and in his return to WWE, they have stopped trying to act like he's this plucky rookie or some shit.

He's a guy whose athleticism and charisma are both unmatched, but I've never been that into because of just how contrived his matches are to me. And that's only an aesthetic thing for me really. I'm not really sure why I can suspend disbelief for say an Irish whip while Rey's moves are a bridge too far for me. Undeniable talent though

His full purple body suit in WCW was tremendous. He should be ashamed of his current gear!

Rey was easily one of my least favorites in the company from about 05 to whenever he left the company (I think 2014?), but I’ve been enjoying him quite a bit in his return. It helps that it’s the best he’s looked physically in many many years.
That Canadian Destroyer ripped the soul out of my body.
