Verne f***ing Gagne putting himself in the main event despite being a billion years old. Sorry for the confusion. I mean old as in they were born earlier. Like guys who were born in the 19th century who lived long enough to have full matches that were recorded. Verne wasn't quite that old. I changed the title to hopefully make it more clear

Gustav Fristensky was born in May 1879 and his opponent Josef Smejkal appears to have been born in 1871.

Both these guys are Czech so it makes me curious if more footage featuring European talent from around the area may be out there. Unfortunately I’m on my phone right now so I can’t really check out the footage, but look forward to it

Gustav Fristensky was born in May 1879 and his opponent Josef Smejkal appears to have been born in 1871. That is a great find. I wonder what the oldest match post Gold Dust Trio would be, since that’s the beginning of what pro wrestling is today.
