Also reportedly Brock wanted to wrestler Balor a long time - same situation as AJ- so expect a good match at least Plus, the timing seems to coincide with Lesnar's rumoured return to UFC, which raises the prospect of Lesnar actually dropping the title. Balor would not be the first small guy to whom Lesnar's dropped a strap, though it would be kind of funny for the Demon to drive down the ramp in a low-rider. Excuse me? A DEMONIC low-rider,thank you very much.

That sound you hear is the window closing on Braun being a top guy.
Last year, the guy was the most credible threat to Lesnar. Now he's been beaten, badly booked, and has cooled off tremendously.

Still waiting for that to happen to Rusev like we all predicted nearly four years ago.

Amazing to think it wasn’t too long ago Braun was a seemingly unbeatable monster to the point they needed to reform the Shield because Lesnar was such an individual threat to Roman

It’s been quite a year and a half for him. From being a mega over baby face that the fans chose over Roman they have gone out of their way to book him to death. From being made to look consistently inferior to Brock, flip flop heel/face turns(each seemingly being half thought out at best), being put in stupid comedy bits, being put in stupid “keep his character busy” stories(his Mania tag title match) and I’m sure I’m forgetting some more of those creative nuggets. Its hard to imagine that it wasn’t done intentionally to cool him down. This screams of WWE wanting to say “We control this universe.”. Obviously they wanted him over as a monster heel when they broke him from the Wyatts. Then he got over as a baby face to the fans when they matched him up against Roman. GAME OVER. Since his character’s success wasn’t how they envisioned, they’ve really gone out of their way to undercut/cool off the character.

No offense to you or anyone who thinks this, but I just don’t buy this weird “Vince wants to screw the talent and their fans” over way of thinking. The man has a vision for what HE thinks works. Most of the time he’s wrong, but, he doesn’t do it to screw over the talent. He’s insanely out of touch, but not this vindictive as the Mr McMahon character makes it seem like he is.

I have actual hope that Balor beats Brock? The one thing WWE hasn't messed around with when it comes to Finn is that The Demon is unbeatable. Demon Balor beats Brock, Seth wins the Royal Rumble and I get the Mania match I deserve.

I'm guessing that if Balor beats Brock and Rollins wins the Rumble, that Rollins will jump to SmackDown and challenge Daniel Bryan.

Finn upsets Brock, Seth wins the Rumble, Finn vs. Seth at WM. Brock can face... I don't know, Batista or something.

It’s not screw the talent and the fans. It’s about control. They want to make a unpredictable business(wrestling) and make it more predictable/stable looking for current and future investors. Also, if this isn’t intentional, then I guess it’s just a case of the McMahons and ALL of creative being completely inept at their jobs while also being completely tone deaf to what the fans want. If they are as bad at their job/ business as this situation indicates they would never have been able to achieve the success they have had. They would be struggling with the whole walking and chewing gum at the same time thing.

They don’t step in that office every Monday and say “well, let’s see how we can piss on the fans today!” Its all Vince. Plain and simple. He thinks that what he’s doing is what we want. It has nothing to do with Stephanie or Shane as they’re not in control as far as I know. They may give their input, but the final say is with the man who feels his vision is what the people see. It has nothing to do with f***ing over the fans like everyone says it is. I’ve found that to be a giant conspiracy than an undeniable truth.

I never said they were looking to be vindictive or piss off the fans. They want to be in control of their company/story in the era of investors. Trying to program for a fan base that can be unpredictable makes them look less in control and sticking to their own plans keeps them in control of the ship.

It’s already been reported that Fox isn’t interested in promoting Raw for USA.

Is it possible Vince was so turned off by Braun's promo last week that he called an audible? If Balor/Lesnar was the plan all along why announce the match two weeks before the show? It's certainly possible of course just seems like odd timing.

Sorry but 150 pound Balor vs. Brock is NOT convincigin at all. You want to book your product as more legit, Balor should be in 205. Because he doesn't even weigh that They don’t care about looking legit. If they did, Ronda Rousey wouldn’t even take a move lol. Well.. You have to also make feuds thats will draw. Strowman (if we wasn't ruined booking wise) should have been the big draw with Lesnar. You need believable, legit feuds for Lesnar for a feud to draw. Bryan's striking ability for instance helps with his kicks. Balor doesn't have the convincing offensive moves like Bryan does. There has to be an aura of believablity incorporated into your world title feuds IMO. Its not BELIEVABLE to make anyone think little Balor who was overtowered by Vince McMahon placed any realistic, believable drawing threat to Lesnar. While everyone knows its a show, you still have to be able to suspend disbelief IMO to make it draw. Maybe if Balor had the striking ability of a Bryan that would be one thing.
