They seem to be on the same level of lameness like the New Day was when they first formed as babyface preachers. Then after the New Day got booed in Philly, they played off their negative babyface reaction and turned heel, and subsequently became of the most popular tag teams of all time.
Would you be interested to see the same transformation done with the Luchas? They got the pinata on a stick and those annoying noisemakers. Nothing about them resonates as cool babyfaces. Furthermore, they have even been cheating to outsmart the heels.
I could see them turning soon to become full-blown chicken shit heels. They are all decent workers, it is just their gimmick sucks. Like like the New Day from 2014, there is creative potential to make lemonade out of lemons.

Honestly I have a pretty hard time seeing a scenario where I'd enjoy any of the three guys, face or heel. Kalisto's never done it for me and even then he's the best in the ring and most charismatic of the trio by a mile.

I thought for sure they were headed this way when they were doing Lucha House Party rules. However, there's a big hurdle in making them heels, namely that smaller flippy dudes don't really make good heels. Even when they were ganging up on The Revival each week with the numbers advantage, the crowds still cheering their cool triple team moves. They aren't good promos, so they can't talk themselves into being heels like Lio Rush can.
They would definitely need to adapt if they went into this direction, but they killed Lucha House Rules when Corbin got outed from the GM position, which was the only thing they could work with to turn heel.

New Day at their worst had the charisma needed to pull off the heel turn. Lucha House Party have all the grace of Lanky Kong.

Kalisto I was sour on when they pushed him basically as Rey-lite and gave him a US title run way too soon, but I give him credit for having passion in the ring and great looking offense for a babyface. As a heel I don't think Kalisto would work-- also Gran Metalik is the best wrestler of the 3 in my opinion. They just just have Zelina Vega manage him and talk for him too, Metalik's too good to be tied down to a luchador faction after being in the Finals of the first CWC and never getting a good singles run.

Nothing these three goobers do will ever be interesting or entertaining. “Lucha Lucha” is the new term for “piss break.”

They’re obviously very good in the ring but I have to say, their characters f***ing suck.
Their entire gimmick is “I’m a Luchador”... that’s just not good enough, man.
