My friend and I were discussing this, and we think we have something.
Six characters are going to have to sacrifice themselves to destroy the stones and stop Thanos once and for all.
We think this will happen AFTER they reverse what happened, and that the ones who die will be a mix of those who survived the snap and those who didn’t.
And we think we know which six.
Captain America Drax Hank Pym James Rhodes Nebula Vision
It would be rather cruel to kill Tony off at this point, let him retire with Pepper and occasion make cameos to fill in the Stan Lee slot.
Cap will make the sacrifice for Tony, after all, metaphorically, it would make sense for Steve to jump on the grenade one last time. Drax’s entire backstory should lead to this moment, he can finally be with his family Hank, much like with Cap, will volunteer because Janet made the sacrifice before, as Tony also did in Avengers, and Hank will believe it’s his turn. James Rhodes is a patriot and a soldier who is willing to lay dow his life to save the world and will be by Steve’s side. Nebula, having made peace with her sister, wants revenge on Thanos for what he did, especially to Gamora. Vision will simply be committed to doing what he believes he should have done in the first place and give his life to save his beloved and the world.
What do you think?

Vision is a title character for a Disney+ MCU show, all of which are apparently companion pieces to the ongoing movies, so that would appear to rule him out of dying.

Actually, on the Vision thing, was I the only one completely baffled by that relationship in Infinity War? I know they were a couple in the comics and all but nothing about Civil War gave me that impression there, it just felt like it came completely out of nowhere.

They flirted a little bit in I think Civil War, but it still feels abrupt.

Seems like with all the good stuff Disney has done with the Avengers franchise, they have not been too good with doing convincing relationships other than Tony and Pepper. Everytime it feels forced.
