The thread title is pretty self-explanatory, but if you could choose someone to manage you if you were a wrestler, who would it be? Any criteria works, but it needs to be someone who has been a wrestling manager or valet before. Kayfabe reasons for going with them, professional ones, any work.
I think I'd choose either Sherri Martel or Jimmy Hart.
Sherri was awesome, always throwing her all into different pairings. I feel like she'd do just about anything to pop the crowd, and I can't picture Macho King, among others, being anywhere near as good without her.
Jimmy, it's similar reasons, but in that case, I just would want to see what airbrushed jacket he'd make to go with me.
I considered a few other options like Cornette, Dangerously, or Heenan, but I think Sherri or Jimmy win out for me. How about for you?

What a great question! It’s a tough call for me between Heenan and Hart...I’ll go for Hart, as he was the first one I thought of. He’d be great at getting heat, great at helping me get over and, on a personal level, I like the idea of endless megaphone chatter through my matches.

Not a good pairing, but I think Kim Chee managing someone normal would have been good for a laugh, especially for a viewer who may just be tuning in and have no idea why a masked man in a pith helmet was at ringside.

I do think Sherri would be a great choice and you can't go wrong with Heenan either, think there is instant credibility (unless you are the Red Rooster) if he is by your side.
If I could have a choice that is outside the box, since one is not a manager, but having Clarence Mason as my manager/lawyer in story would be good with contracts that benefit me and Haku as my bodyguard, since nobody would want to mess with me if I had him there

(I forget who Haku was in a suit and shades as the bodyguard for, but he's done it at least once in a Mr. Hughes, but scarier, kinda fashion.)

Jim Cornette. Because I can just stand there looking menacing while he runs his motor mouth, I would get celebration cake that I would not have to share and if I run into a fine, his mama would pay for it.

Two come to mind:
Sherri Martel: We do a gimmick where I'm a geek who can't win on his own. All my wins come from her KOing my opponent while I'm incapacitated.
Nick Bockwinkle: Whereas he is not known as a manager, I think he would gel with my primary fantasy character, developing a Martin-Lewis style of relationship.
P.S. Also, Gary Hart because I haven't seen him listed yet.

I'd choose a manager that was part of my character. Paul Bearer with The Undertaker, Chyna with HHH, Paul Heyman with Brock Lesnar, Heenan with anybody. They all just look right together.
Or failing that I'd have an entourage of old wrestlers, kind of like Cody and Nick Aldis did at All In.

Spud. I live in hope he'll manage the Moustache Mountain lads, so I'd join and we could form a stable called the West Midlands Massive.

Choose someone? Heyman's overall record is still pretty winning even if not in WWE much, but knowing my personal character I would get Harvey Wippleman.

I’ve spoken openly about my deranged former children’s TV show host gimmick.
Harvey Whippleman would be perfect for this.

Speaking of, there's my guy, I think. Underrated, terribly so.

Speaking of, there's my guy, I think. Underrated, terribly so. Right, I was thinking of him. Colonel Parker was great. Ric apparently tried to entice Cornette to come with him for his first WWF run, saying he'd be his Colonel. He was already doing or about to do Smoky Mountain, so he couldn't be swayed. He did express some interest, but yeah, it was bad timing. I can't imagine the character would have played out half the same, given there's no way they'd have Cornette playing a lothario like Parker was to Sherri and Madusa. Guessing it'd have just been Cornette with a fancy coat of paint instead of allying with Heenan as directly, or he'd probably have filled Mr. Perfect's role of actively being ringside instead of at the booth like Heenan. Maybe just be another member of that entourage to get Flair over big. Can't picture it being as good a fit as the Fuller version, though. He brought a definite swagger to the part.
