"I never wanted to be second best. I feel like with anything you do in life, you should strive to be number one, you should strive to be the best. I don't get how people can be here and just sit around and wait for their turn. Do you know what I mean? Like, or be okay with, like, having a match one week and then the next week being off too. I just don't know how you do that when this job is hard enough as it is. And I feel like you have to work your ass off to get where you want to be and you have to knock down those doors. And if you're not happy, you have to let them know. Don't just tell me you're happy. You have to show me. I have to show them every single week that I'm here to be the best. When I go out every Monday night, I'm stealing the show or I'm having the best match of the night, so that's what pushes me to be better because I just can't be complacent." "For me, promos haven't really been my best strong suit, but I feel as I keep getting older, which kind of sucks, the more mature I get and the more I actually think about what I say. And also, I feel like now as a performer, I'm not really scared to speak up when I'm given a promo and that's the beautiful thing about WWE and with them growing as well, if you get handed something and you have questions about it, I'm not scared to go to Vince and ask him to change it and put it in my own words. So for the last two weeks, the week before I wasn't supposed to call Nia the b-word, but it just kind of came out and I feel like that added to that promo as well. So you just always have to kind of apologize later. If you're trying to do the best you can to make the story better, I think it's okay to do those things." www.wrestlinginc.com/news/2019/01/sasha-banks-on-who-taught-her-about-working-the-camera-650038/

I'm glad she recognizes that promos aren't her strength, because, yeeeah, they're not. That said, good on her to have drive, though I hope she doesn't end up bringing herself down with it. It sucks to miss TV time, but you can run the risk of oversaturating yourself, too, if you are on every week.

I appreciate her wanting to be the best and everything.
..but she’s sounding a lot like Ziggler did a few years ago when he kept saying he tried to steal the show and outdo everyone, but that just kinda had him selling his ass off for everyone and him being pidgeonholed into that type of guy. To the point where guys like HBK and Booker T told him to not be a pinball machine for everyone. Sasha does that a lot too, and I just hope somebody tells her that “if I bump like a maniac for their pet projects and have great matches they’ll have to push me” really isn’t the best method to get a healthy push.

She wants to show she's the best but she hasn't been allowed to show she's even second best in years.
And you can have the best written promo ever, but if you're delivery is off and your enunciation is wrong (people get on Charlotte for this, but I think Sasha's delivery is WAYYYY worse in this department) then they can only go so far.
Turn her heel, let her be the same lady that made Izzy cry and you've got gold. Otherwise I'm solidly behind the "new boss" Bianca Belair.
Maybe it's like AHS Coven where when a new Supreme rises the other gets weaker. Bianca rose, so Sasha started to be horrible. Or maybe Vince just sucks. Or both.

(...it was a pretty great line from Sasha, though.)

I wasn't super-high on Sasha (she was alright, I just don't think the "Boss" gimmick has ever done much for me) even when she was a heel, but if it'll keep her from feeling like she's gotta faceplant every single match, then turn her.
