Is it bad that given Johnny's performances last year (in particular, not to mention Ricochet's!) I am expecting to see a 5* match??

My predictions:
- Ciampa retains
- War Raiders win the titles
- Ricochet retains
- Baszler retains
- Riddle over Ohno
Most of these matches are fairly predictable. The only one I really had to think about was the NA Title.

Given both men's talents and 2018 form, on paper this should be one of the best WWE workrate-matches ever right?

Least interesting TakeOver card I have ever seen on paper.
For me personally, that is.

Not really feeling this one on paper. Probably still be good but nothing I'm dying to see.

I'm pretty damn excited for the Ciampa/Black, Ricochet/Gargano and Women's Championship matches myself. Shit, the UE vs. War Raiders match will probably be a banger as well.

All Takeovers are good, so I'm looking forward to it and I have a thought of how the Ciampa/Black match may end that could be fun if they do it.

Even the Takeovers that don't like great on paper tend to deliver so I'll most likely be watching.

This is one of the first Takeover cards in a while that from top to bottom looks like a VERY solid show.
Which means it's going to eclipse that, I'm genuinely excited for this one.

Ciampa/Black last summer was an amazing match albeit with a screwy finish. I think people may be sleeping on this one.
Gargano/Ricochet has all the makings of a MOTYC.
Ohno/Riddle could go either way, was disappointed in their match on NXT a few weeks ago. They need to be given more time. Their matches in EVOLVE were amazing.
Fish/O' Reilly worked one of the best ever 'small team vs. big team' matches with AOP last year so I have high hopes that Strong/O' Reilly can do the same with an even more talented big man team in the War Raiders.
Baszler/Bel Air is the obvious outlier on this card. I have this feeling that Bel Air might be winning here, Baszler has nowhere else really to go in NXT and I feel they want to move all 3 of Ronda's buddies up to the main roster as soon as possible. Could see Baszler dropping the title here and debuting in the Rumble match the next night.
All in all I feel this card could be very decent, maybe not incredible but I expect the streak of great Takeovers to continue.

All in all I feel this card could be very decent, maybe not incredible but I expect the streak of great Takeovers to continue. I don't see Baszler dropping the title here. I figure her next challenger after Bianca would likely be Io Shirai (Duke and Shafir have been steamrolled constantly by Shirai, so I can see NXT turning that into a story as they rarely tend to have talent steamroll other "big" names unless they have a good reason to). Baszler screams "Night after Wrestlemania" debut to me. Otherwise you run the risk of her showing up and getting lost in the shuffle if she makes her actual main roster debut at the Rumble. A cameo is fine (and expected). But I don't want her on the roster until the night after Wrestlemania. Bianca is way too polarizing to take the title from Shayna, and shouldn't be undefeated right now as its very quickly going to become a millstone around her neck, especially in a division as stacked as the NXT Women's Division. You also have to look at it from a PR perspective. STARDOM talent will almost certainly be in attendance at Takeover: New York (as they are running a show that day), and both AEW and WWE will inevitably want to grab names from that pool. WWE crowning Io as champion at that event would show they are serious about giving STARDOM talent an actual chance to make a huge splash.

I just noted my boy Dream isn't booked. I hope he shows up in the Rumble... He is still listed in the tournament where a lot of guys not on either Takeover or Rumble are competing (Including Adam Cole) and it's supposed to be aired on the Network at some point so I guess it's better than nothing but yeah I'm hoping he's a surprise entrant too.

I can see Belair taking Dakota Kai's place in the 6 woman feud they were hinting at before with Io and Kairi, since they've just had a round of callups, so everyone's likely staying put till Wrestlemania.
