5 way Ladder Match at Takeover NY? But... what do you do with the NA title? Yeah, this is a bit weird.

Another solid Takeover overall.
Honestly I'm content with the Gargano/Ciampa story, it's pretty much come full circle with both men developing in character and finally sitting on top of NXT with both singles titles before the eventual call up.

They got a few different directions they can go here... Do they go Champion v Champion? Do they officially reunite and team up against War Raiders to complete the set? Do we get all these other guys from the dark brawl involved for a big ol’ multi man? Like, I think they’ve dragged this out too long already, but whatever match happens should still be very good. Maybe Dream wins the When Worlds Collide tournament & challenges for the NXT Title at Takeover: NY. 🤷♀️

I really don’t care what anyone says. The Gargano/Ciampa storyline has jumped 5 sharks Its one of the most needlessly convoluted and dumb stories I have ever seen. It should have ended a full year ago at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans with their 'unsanctioned match'. Everything after that has been pretty pointless, IMO.Yea, pretty much but i'm here for it
I've turned my brain off and just enjoying it for what it is

This picture made up a little for NXT doing something else I'm interested in in a way I can't see it. The pictures I've seen makes it look like Dream kept that hat on for most, if not all, the entire brawl ![](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Dx4rDtkU0AE5rfk.jpg)

This creates big intrigue for the match in NY and how they could potentially set this up
Could be a crazy scenario where both titles are on the line in a 6 man match where 1st pinfall sets up the NA title and 2nd sets up the NXT title
Either way it's good to see Cole added to the mix and hopefully he gets to mix it up with Ciampa and Gargano

Just did some catching up. Really only actually watched the first two matches and gisted through the rest (especially Gargano / Ricochet - had the winner spoiled for me on that one so didn't even bother with it). Kind of what I was expecting the show to be, pretty much all the obvious winners and going all-in on this idiotic Evil DIY thing. Honestly Gargano and Ciampa are kind of just show-killers for me at this point - their matches are generally really good (though I still contend Ciampa / Dream was an absolute mess) but their writing is so awful it makes me actively disinterested in watching them.
Tag title match was pretty damn awesome though.

Finally had a chance to watch it and thankfully avoided all spoilers.
I dunno, Johnny winning the NA Championship just knocked the wind out of my sails for the show. I was kinda on auto-pilot. Which is kinda corny to say, but I just don't think it was a good idea, when you had a clear path to a Gargano redemption arc and becoming the mega-over-babyface champion that the title has sorely needed for awhile now.
Still a great show, with 2 stellar matches, but yeah...not feeling this Gargano/Ciampa thing at all. It needed to end in a one on one match at WM weekend's Takeover.
You could have written to this SO many different and interesting ways.
Not feeling #HEELIY
Meh (for now, NXT has proven me wrong before).

I had an idea but this post-show brawl kind of dampens everything.
What I thought was going to potentially happen was that on the next tapings was that we were going to have HEEL-I-Y vs. War Raiders for the Tag belts, as Ciampa wants ALL THE GOLD, but for some reason, Ciampa pokes the bear too much (something potentially happening with Candice) that finally breaks Gargano out of this weird funk that he’s in and he becomes Johnny Wrestling again.
He would then go to Regal and technically “cash-in” his North American title, claiming that he won this through means not his own and that the NXT title has always been the goal.
That way, you would get the final Gargano/Ciampa affair but also another ladder match for the vacant NA title (and making it an annual thing for NXT)

I really don't think this whole Ciampa/Gargano saga finishes at the next Takeover. I think they are both staying in NXT for a while yet.
They are seen as the locker room leaders by Triple H. As great as they are in NXT, I just can't see them succeeding on the main roster. I think they are fine being in NXT as 'the' guys for a while yet.
There is going to be a LOT of callups after Mania I feel. Black, Undisputed Era and Ricochet will create a huge hole in NXT and they'll need some vets while they continue to build up talent like Riddle and Dream. Ciampa and Gargano are the guys to do that.
So yeah, TLDR, I feel like we should be getting used to Ciampa/Gargano in NXT for a while yet

Not sure if this is allowed, if not please delete, but this is my review of the show: youtu.be/CYG9hjurJDc(language warning in parts) I've been doing reviews for over a year (WWE, Impact, NXT, NJPW, ROH), and this is the first time I've had the courage to post on here even though this is my main place to come for wrestling chat.

Don't know if it'll happen at TO: NY or not, though.

Ricochet and Gargano was perhaps the best match I have seen for a good while.
