Whenever someone finds out that I’m a wrestling fan they usually have some kind of story about it or about some wrestler they’ve met. Living in the northeast most of my life I can tell you that I’ve gotten so many people that have told me stories about Bam Bam Bigelow more than anyone else. He’s easily far and away the one I’ve heard mentioned the most by non fans. It probably had a lot to do with that tattoo on his head. It really made him standout. People just don’t forget a look like that.

Most people over, say, 50 or so in Australia probably know who Mario Milano is (was). In the '60s and '70s, wrestling was absolutely huge here, particularly in Melbourne. Mario was a huge, huge name in the mainstream.

HBK seems like a local celebrity in San Antonio. Maybe more so back in the day.
Up in Minnesota where I grew up, alot of the old AWA classic wrestlers seem pretty popular with my father and grandfather's generations. I remember hearing them name drop guys like Mad Dog Vachon and Verne Gagne every now and then

I got Kendo Nagasaki's autobiography for Christmas (signed)
Barely any of my friends are wrestling fans, yet 99% of them have heard of him
