Dude has consistently knocked it out of the park since I started watching again in late 2015.
Elevates and gets over just about everyone he works with.
Significant in ring improvement, top tier mic work.
Can take a lot of L's and still remain credible.
Seamless transition to face with the Shane pairing.
Awesome.

He's been their all around best performer for the better part of the last 3-4 years

It would be hard to argue that he isn’t the most consistently entertaining person in the company.

He is the ultimate utility player. He can be plugged into just about any spot and do it well.

I've said this for years, to me Miz is the best sports entertainer of this generation. Not the best wrestler but best at what Vince wants as a entertainer.

He is solid, very repetitive but always safe and solid. 90% of times a 7/10 that can become a 9.5/10 when he is really feeling it
I wouldnt say the best but he is definitely very reliable in any area you need.
I couldnt stand him when he kept winning the IC title because it was always the same goddamn thing and it sacrificed more over people,or people with great potential. But this is really fresh for him and really good job from his part.

For a guy who’s been on the roster for as long as Miz has he doesn’t feel out of place or stale very often. Reinventing himself with the Hollywood A Lister gimic probably saved him and he’s been pretty consistent ever since.

Could never really be bothered with him until 2016, and during that spell on Smackdown, I just realised how much I f***ing hate this guy. Ive only had that reaction with Main Event level Ciampa and NXT Revival. He got legit heel heat from me.
He's unquestionably an elite guy for them, and he even showed against Seth that if you put him with a top tier guy, he can hold his end of the bargain with the match. While his moveset and wrestling isnt perfect, the "entertainment" half of his ringwork more than covers him. Go back to his incredible Falls Count Anywhere match with John Morrison from 2011, Morrison brought the moves, Miz glued it all together.

I can see why people like him but for me, he just doesn’t satisfy me in the ring.
I’m not exaggerating when I say I can’t remember ever seeing a great Miz match.
I’m nearly positive I could even have a great match with Daniel Bryan and I’ve only had a few months training. The fact that all his matches with him have sucked speaks volumes to me.

If you told me twelve years ago that this f***ing geek would become one of my favourite things in the whole industry by 2011 and ever since, I would have laughed in your face.

He's a class above any full timer in the entertainment side. In the 'whole package' category, him, AJ and Seth are the current crown jewels.

While he's certainly not in the same league, I'd compare Miz to Flair in that respect. Flair had his basic routine that he went through for most of his matches (leading to the not totally unfair criticism that if you've seen one Flair match you've seen them all) but turned it up a notch when it really matters. Miz is very similar in that most of his TV matches have just enough character work to keep the crowd involved, but follow a fairly uniform structure, while his PPV matches are almost always good to great.

Rusev's my favorite, but I dig Miz. He's making Shane tolerable for a change, so, high praise. I can see why people like him but for me, he just doesn’t satisfy me in the ring. The fact that all his matches with him have sucked speaks volumes to me. It really shouldn't. Sometimes guys don't have the best chemistry. Booker T and Batista had completely shit matches, but it doesn't mean they were awful wrestlers. I recommend Miz's matches with AJ, which frankly I thought were better than Jericho's with AJ.

I recommend Miz's matches with AJ, which frankly I thought were better than Jericho's with AJ. Miz and Bryan have had good matches back in 2010-2011. For whatever reason last summer's matches never really clicked, but I don't think that's necessarily on Miz. Bryan's return had been pretty underwhelming up until his heel turn. He didn't have any stinkers, but he didn't have any matches that set the world on fire either. I agree on the Miz-AJ matches, and also nominate his matches last year with Rollins and Balor, both separately and together.

How about those KO/Styles matches.. Eesh. The Miz/Bryan feud was a dud, yeah, but I place most of the blame on creative and a strangely uninterested looking Bryan. Oh, and the inclusion of Maryse and Brie killed any potential it had left. Seems obvious that they'll revisit it, though, so we'll see how chapter 2 goes. I'd be interested to see it with their current alignments.

I feel that Miz’s best matches were with Rollins. Having said all that, Miz has had some great feuds in his career. It’s the matches that let the feuds down. I mean his feud with Ziggler in 2016 and his career long feud with Bryan are some of the best feuds of the modern era. HOWEVER I can’t say I’ve ever bought a PPV and said “Man I can’t wait for this Miz match!” That’s what separates Miz from the greats.
