ROUND ONE:
1919-1922-----Nosferatu 1923-1926-----The Phantom of the Opera 1927-1929-----The Man Who Laughs
1930-1932-----Frankenstein
Now we move on to the second part of the 1930's, 1933-1934. Vote for your favorite, and, as always, explain your choice (if you like), as well as mention any other movies you might have seen on this list, below.

I went with The Black Cat. Ya got Lugosi and Karloff together for the first time, a mix of gothic and art deco architecture, a Satanic cult, and a sadistic finale. It's just a cool film.
Murders in the Zoo is solid, as well. An overbearing husband who brutalizes anyone who makes eyes at his wife. There's a guy who has his mouth sewn shut, which is pretty crazy for the early 1930s!

If we're considering Kong for this category then that one wins. How great of a year was 1933 though, and not just for horror?
Night of Terror obviously shouldn't win this but what a guilty pleasure proto slasher flick.

King Kong for me is a masterpiece.
Invisible Man is also great but can't compete with Kong.
The Ghoul is ok.

Kong is King (and got my vote) for this poll. I will say that The Invisible Man is also good, but as another poster said, not quite good as King Kong.
Maniac is pretty terrible, but awesomely terrible.
Onto 1935-1936, which, I have a feeling I know what's going to win this one, but surprises can often happen.

I think The Invisible Man is a better movie than King Kong. I own both and I can always have fun watching The Invisible Man. King Kong bores me in some places.
