Wrestlemania needs to bring back a mitb type ladder match with relevance to main eventers and semi main event guys. The andre battle royal is still a match you don't want to be stuck in with the exception of being on the card at least. There are too many talented guys and not enough matches to feature everyone appropriately. One big multi man match with big stakes is a good way to get a lot of worthy guys who didn't make it to the championship or other main events on the card to still be featured prominently. Agree? Ideas for a match like this that isn't a total rehash of a mitb ladder match?

If you're doing it then I say not a ladder match. They happen too often as it is.

It was perfect for Mania. You knew you were getting a car crash match, and it's a great way to open the show. Just slam on the gas right out of the gate. Crowd is already fired up. I think the Mania ones were better than the ones on the MITB ppv. Maybe just because it was Wrestlemania and the guys really wanted to bring their A-game.

I've always wanted to mix Money in the Bank/Chamber Match match into one convoluted mess.
Like it's a normal chamber match with a new guy entering every so many minutes, however 5 minutes after the last chamber is open a ladder is tossed in the chamber and the MITB case hanging from the top of the cage "goes live" and is available to claim.
Hold on a second I think I'm getting PM's from TNA to be their new head booker

I had an idea for a multi-person match at Wrestlemania that rehashes some stuff they've done before, but it gets a bunch of people on the card and has actual stakes. It's kind of a combo of when Test won immunity at Survivor Series 2001 and when Bischoff's winning team from Survivor Series 2003 got granted a wish from him. But basically, a battle royal or multi-person ladder match where the winner gets a "blank check" from the McMahon family for an entire year. Anything they want, no questions asked. You could go in multiple directions with it from a story perspective, with the winner asking for title shots, or to be an authority figure, have a hated rival fired, etc.

Just do a US Title Ladder match considering how stacked Smackdown’s midcard is: Rusev, Hardy, Mysterio, Andrade, Nakamura, Ali, and Joe.

At least one of the battle royals should be on the main show. They could alternate years.

I miss them being at WM so much, they felt so much more special and I loved the year to year continuity.

Most definitely. The lights are on bright, as JBL would say. I thoroughly enjoyed the Mania crowds reactions to all the big spots, something the MITB PPV ones failed to replicate.

One big mitb match a year. Means more. Can be used in either brands title. Have the women's and men's on the wrestlemania broadcast. Rebrand the ppv.

It seemed like they were starting a tradition with IC Title ladder matches at 31 and 32, then they just stopped.

I mean if the idea of Wrestlemania is to get as many people on the card as possible rather than putting out a good show then sure, give us a dozen guys in the ring fighting for a reason.

I miss when Mania had the Money in the Bank match. The Battle Royal is not bad but it feels kind of meh because he just had the Royal Rumble a few months before hand and it just feels too soon.

(Although maybe you should have to hang the briefcase up there instead of pull it down).

I'd prefer a TLC for the tag titles, still 6-8 people, two/three regular teams and a new super team.
They're just easier to book with some vague sense of logic to them.
