Billy Travis was a good face but as a heel he was little more than a poor man's Honky Tonk Man. I do wonder if his former tag partner Jeff Jarrett was influenced by him for his later heel runs.
USWA Texas wasn't all that good. Watch the Memphis end instead.

In this bunch of eps, finally saw the show I think got it banned from a few markets. The one with two man-on-woman violence spots on the same episode. (I remember reading about it in Apter then online, but never saw it..)

I'm curious if WWE has the 2-hour, local show Championship Sports in their possession. They have some full episodes and individual matches from the 1-hour, syndicated show USWA Challenge on the Network.
I believe the USWA taped 2 episodes of Challenge every other Friday, then taped CS every Saturday morning for airing on KTVT that night. CS was canceled in September 1990, and KTVT replaced an hour of that time with WWF Superstars.
