The new Daniel Bryan matches are a bore fest of epic proportions. Yikes. He had one meh match after back to back great PPV matches with Brock/AJ, a good match with Ali on Smackdown, and a few fun tag matches but yeah they're all super duper boring.

I fell asleep during that match for what it's worth while the other matches held my attention.

I was honestly surprised that I had zero interest in his match tonight. I barely glanced at it. Being a 'cooldown' match did it no favours though.

I think he's been outstanding, personally.

It should have been put nearer the start of the show and swapped with the Smackdown tag titles. Putting it after a massive Becky Rumble win would have killed any match but having THAT one there did it no favours.

This is a pattern.
AJ’s matches with Joe and Nakamura were hit and miss. Bryan is going through the same deal now.
It feels like the WWE title, as a whole, is being presented as filler or as a cool down spot.

What I wouldn't give for a time machine so I could book Angry Green Activist Bryan against "Custom made!" 1980s Ric Flair. It doesn't matter if it's heel vs. heel. Those two personalities colliding would draw major lettuce.

Has he peaked?

Has he peaked? I want to see what AJ does with a opening match before I make the call. His TV matches with Bryan were great. So I think it’s WWE regulating the matches.

Love his heel work. I could watch him do that face stomp all day long.

Has he peaked? I wonder if he doesn't have an injury, needs time off to heal, but is trying to gut it out until WM in basically his home stadium. He's been carrying SDL for two or three years at this point. At the very least some time off the road just to rest.
